My Redmi watch 2 lite is under warranty (till 15-Jan-2024) but the touch screen is facing ghost touch and stopped responding since last few days. Display is working only touch has issues.
On 18-Nov-2023, I visited MI service centre "GTB Nagar North Campus Delhi-Qdigit-T" to resolve the issue but after inspection they rejected the repair by stating reason "Man-made damage; MULTIPLE SCRETCHES NOT COVERED UNDER WARRENTY".
But the scratches are normal wear and tear scratches which comes in any wearable device. I am not sure why are these termed as man-made scratches. Man-made scratches should be accidental damage or intentional damage. Its disappointing to hear from brand like MI. Are service representatives stating these reasons for rejecting the repairs under warranty and save money for company?
I have used many devices from MI and never faced any issue with devices where I have to visit service centre. This was my first experience with after sales team of MI and I have no option other than posting the complain here.
Hoping the see a positive response on this complain.
