Yamaha — Defective Product CDI Yamaha Gladiator

I have a Yamaha gladiator ss bike.Recently my bike not strating.i went to a workshop near my house, they said CDI is need to replace.So i bought a genuine Yamaha CDI for Rs.1860. But after change the CDI not works, mechanic said that the new CDI not working.I went to shop they are not taking back.Yamaha is why manufacture like this ?.I totally fed out for my waste of money.
