Yatra.com — Serious Issues with My Holiday Booking for Manali | |||
This with reference to my holiday booking Reference No. S1321023 and S1321367. I made the booking on 7th Dec 2014 and after few days I got to know about the adverse weather conditions in Manali and called the Yatra toll fee number number of times asking them about the real situation in Manali and I was assured every time that there is no problem what so ever. But after checking the ground reality in Manali with different sources including the News Channels and local Himachal Pradesh Authorities I got to know it is not all safe to travel Manali and the weather conditions are very bad. Hence I called up the Service Desk of Yatra and requested them to postpone my travel as it is not at all advisable to travel Manali, but to my surprise I was told that the booking once made can neither be cancelled nor postponed to any other dates as the amount paid to the hotel and Airlines is non refundable. I personally checked with the Hotels and the Airlines and they confirmed that it is very much possible. This clearly indicates that the Service representatives in Yatra and giving wrong information to the tourist and not at all bothered about the life of the fellow tourists/passengers who are trusting Yatra. Your team assured me that everything was fine but I have to spent entire night in the hotel without electricity, no heater and no arrangements to fight the intense cold weather. I returned back to Pune and my request now is to refund my entire amount as the services you have provided is not at all acceptable and I have already gone through lot of mental stress and agony.
