I booked an individual flight ticket through Yatra by selecting the “lowest fare†option. At no stage during the booking process was it disclosed that the ticket would be issued as a group PNR. I later discovered that my ticket had been combined with multiple unknown passengers under the same PNR, and the contact number registered on the PNR was not even mine.
Due to a medical emergency at around 1 AM (my flight was scheduled at 7 AM), I immediately attempted to cancel the ticket. The Yatra app displayed “Cannot cancel, please contact customer care.†I then tried contacting all available support numbers repeatedly, making over 100 call attempts, but none connected and no assistance was available. Their support appears to operate only during limited hours despite flight services running 24x7.
When I contacted IndiGo, they informed me that the booking had been issued by Yatra as a group ticket, which prevented individual cancellation. This lack of disclosure, incorrect passenger contact information, and absence of accessible support during an emergency raises serious concerns regarding transparency, consumer consent, and fair trade practices.
