I made a hotel booking through Yatra and the payment was successfully deducted from my account via PhonePe UPI. However, even after more than one hour, I did not receive any booking confirmation, voucher, booking ID, email, or SMS.
I contacted the hotel directly to verify the reservation status. The hotel clearly stated that:
1. They have received no reservation from Yatra.
2. They do not have any tie-up or booking arrangement with Yatra.
This means payment was collected despite no valid reservation being created at the hotel.
Because of this failed booking, I was unable to use the service and also unable to book alternative accommodation immediately since my money was already deducted.
