Yes Bank — charges regarding non-maintenance of bank account

This is regarding charges that are being levied for non-maintenance of my bank account. I opened an account with yes bank in 2014 as my company operated with the bank. I left my previous company in 2015. With the change of my company, my bank account also changed. However, yes bank still charges me for non-maintenance. I read online that as per the rbi guidelines, these charges should be waived off. I really want to close my yes bank account however, i will have to pay a heavy sum to do so. I have mailed yes bank and they are asking me to pay the amount.
