Zoom Car — fake charges being processed and harassing us to pay | |||
We have hired a zoomcar on[protected] at 4 a. M. Till 11:30 p. M of[protected]. After our trip we have parked the car from where we picked up and informed to zoomcar customer care (Check list filled by customer care). Customer care asked us to pay 2124 rupees extra charges by mentioning that we have exceeded default kms (675km while hiring) set for the trip. Their count is 851km but from our trip the original trip distance shown by car is 642km. (Initial km reading on car :75952 and reading at the end of trip is 76594). Since the count is not matching with their gps tracker, they told us keep the car keys in the desk and leave. We moved away from the car and they locked. We asked for initial km reading from their gps to check the number, they declined our request by stating that that number is confidential. Suddenly after 2days they mailed us mentioning that we have to pay 8000 rupees for the damages during the our trip. I am 100 % sure that we have not damaged any part of the car, immediately we called the customer care of zoomcar and asked us about the damages. Then they asked "do you have any screen shot of checklist displayed on the app before your trip started?" since we forgot to take the screenshot of that check list... We replied no. Then the customer care was stating that there are damages on the front bumper of car and we have to pay 8000 rupees for that. We have taken a pic of car after completion of our trip and we told them that we will send the pic of car which displays front bumper of car clearly. They agreed for that and said will verify on the issue and take proper action afterwards. We didn't get a call back from them. Here the original drama started. Next day we called them about the resolution. Now they started saying that side bumper is damaged and front bumper is fine. We completely understand that they want to loot our money in anyway. We disconnected the call and filing this complaint for proper justice. They are not agreeing to share any of data from their side. Zoomcar customer support has been notified about the posted complaint. Verified Support Aug 07, 2019 Zoomcar Customer Care's response Hello Naidu, Greetings! We understand your disappointment here. We did check the booking and see that you have exceeded the free kilometers opted, hence you are billed as per the policy. We did revalidate the damage charges and see that the same was invalid, hence we have reversed it.
