[Resolved] Zoom Car — false charges after returning the car and mental torture for customer | |||
Dear karthik, This e-mail is with reference to the booking made by you with zoomcar india private limited (Hereinafter referred to as "zoomcar" or/and "company") through company's webpage/mobile app with the following details - S. No booking id car provided start time end time pickup point drop off point initial rental security deposit outstanding 1 jps6b6e7v ka03ae7845 18/07/2019 05:00 22/08/2019 22:00 novotel sholinganallur omr novotel sholinganallur omr 9947 0 312399 It has come to our attention that the said vehicle has been used for manner other than those agreed and acknowledged by you, at the time of booking, under the terms and conditions of the member agreement (Hereinafter referred to as "agreement" (https://www.zoomcar.com/bangalore/policy#member) therefore, you are liable to make payment of ₹312399 to the company. We therefore request you to make payment of the aforementioned outstanding amount of ₹312399 within 5 days of this mail, failing which we shall be constrained to initiate against you civil and criminal legal proceedings as are warranted by law for recovery of the due amount. — Above is the mail i got from zoom: I have made a booking with zoom car (Booking id: jps6b6e7v) for 5 days, from (4am - july[protected] to (11pm - july[protected] and returned the car to zoom car driver (Suresh - 9962xxxx52) by (9:30 july[protected] ie. Before my booking ends. I have completed the check list and submitted my feedback and closed the booking. After more than one month ie. 28-august-2019, i got a mail saying i need to pay an outstanding amount of 312399, and if i'm not going to pay this, zoom car is going to take legal proceeding on me. I complained the same to zoom car customer car and even after 24hours i din't get any resolution. How come a customer is responsible for zoom car technical issues and after one moth if they send such notices to customer for such false charges. I would like to take legal action on this for flase charges and harassment. As i checked with the customer care they said that car will get locked after crossing 4hrs of bokking time and why it was not checked till one month. I spoke to the driver to whom i handed over the car and he said he dropped the car at the drop location, i have call recording of calls of driver and customer care people. Verified Support Aug 30, 2019 Zoomcar Customer Care's response Hello Karthik, Greetings! We are sorry to know about the charges levied on the booking. Upon checking, we see that due to a technical issue, the vehicle drop time got changed because of which the charges were levied. We have rectified the issue and have reversed the charges levied on the booking. Please accept our sincere apologies for the inconvenience you had to go through. Hope the issue stands resolved.
