[Resolved] Zoom Car — invalid charges for damage | |||||
I booked a zoomcar (Booking id # jps6tbtxr) on 22nd oct for just 3 hours. Since i had to pick a friend from airport. There are 2 main complaints in the same booking. 1. While booking, it showed that the car should be picked from around jayanagar area. But i got the car which was parked in banashankari 3rd stage near kamakya layout (Around 5.5km away from swagath mall jayanagar). Also not in any parking lot, but in front of someone else's house. 2. They have charged me with 1780/-. 780 excess km charge and 1000 damage charges. When i asked them about the charges, they mentioned that there was a slight scratch on the front door. I didn't take photos before the ride for three reasons./ 1. It was too dark (10 pm pick up time). 2. It was parked in front of someones house (Residential area) with people around looking suspiciously.3. The car was parked very close to the compound wall. Like even if i had taken the photos. I would definitely miss that part of the car./ also the car was not cleaned. It looked like they had given me the car before they could inspect/clean the car after the last car drive. This is not fair to put the damage charges on me. I had taken it for just 3 hours which could have costed just 850. Now i end up paying more for no reason. I have booked 10 zoomcars including this one and there were no problems before. Now looks like they have so many similar complaints in this site itself in the recent times. If zoomcar continues this kind of process (Giving the car without inspection, not having proper parking place to pick and drop and not specifying the correct place at the car checkout page itself) they are going to go down. : ( Was this information helpful? | |||||

Thank you for reaching out to us. However, it is disappointing for us to know about the trouble that was incurred during your reservation. Based on the escalation raised we did study the issue and see that the charges levied are appropriate as the there are minor Damages in the front door and also charges for excess KM. However, we have revised with the damage charges as the damage was minor. Unfortunately, we are unable to do much in this case. Hoping for your kind understanding. | |||||
