Hello, I booked a zoom car on 30th November'2022 at 8 AM from Vizag and made the payment of 12, 000 INR.
I double-checked the pick up time and car pickup point before booking.
I called the zoom guys one hour before my pickup time to know the details of the car location and others. Surprisingly, the pickup time got changed. Zoom people informed me that the car pickup time is at 4 PM in the evening! I argued with them that I have booked for 8 AM in the morning but no use. I had to pay them an extra 800 INR and moved the pickup time to 8 AM.
The worst part is the car is not parked at the location I requested. It is 25 KMs away from the pickup point I requested. I am very frustrated and decided to cancel the trip. Zoom people said that since the pickup time is less than an hour if I cancel the booking, I will receive only a 50% refund. I have no choice, I took a cab from there, traveled 25km to the pickup point, and collected the car.
My requested drop off was on 5th Dec at 4.30 PM, but I actually handed over the car at the location on 3rd Dec 11.40 PM it self (about 2 days before). We came back to our home.
Everything was fine for a month and then in January, one fine day I received a Whatsapp message from Zoom saying that they tried to call me a number of times and I failed to respond. They sent me a legal notice over Whatsapp saying I have to make a payment pending with Zoom and if I don't make the payment, the legal team will reach my home. They advised me to install zoom app and see my trips to know the balance amount I have to pay and other details. I installed Zoom app and tried to log in but I never succeeded. It asks my an OTP which I never receive. I haven't received any calls from any of the zoom people and they claim that they called me many times and I did not respond.
I feel that the Zoom car business is a big fraud, they are cheating people. The authorities should take strict action on these fraudsters. I regret using zoom service. Was this information helpful? |
