[Resolved]  Zoom Car — zoomcar charging extra

We booked a zoom car on 7th Sep 2017 in Bangalore from Garuda Mall (Booking ID: JPS6TVL4K ). we received the car on 8th Sep and we had to go to coorg from Bangalore but while going to coorg our car broke down. we called up Zoom car and their representatives told us that you give the car back and we will provide you a other vehicle, we agreed. However, zoom car called us again and told us that they would not be able to provide a vehicle, i.e we need to book a separate car from Coorg to Bangalore and they will give us the full refund for that and they will be taking the car which we booked from zoom from coorg itself, we again agreed to this also. we booked a car from coorg and came back to Bangalore. After coming to Bangalore we got a call from zoom car saying that we broke the clutch plate of the car and we need to pay 10, 000 for it, where in we only drove it for around 280 km, there is no way by which we could have broke the clutch plate. we raised a complaint to zoom car and consumer affair regarding this and we told them the whole scenario so they stopped calling or sending emails. Now again after 20 days they contacted us saying we need to pay 10, 000 rupees for driving the car more than the given limit which is completely wrong we did not even drove the car half way. we gave it back to zoom car representatives in coorg itself where in zoom car is saying in their email that the car was given by us at magrath road on 9th of sep. we were in coorg on 9th sep 2017. clearly they are running a scam. Now they are threatening us by saying that they will send a legal notice.

Please help we want our refund from zoom car.

Our Points In Nutshell

1. Zoomcar promised us that our cost of taxi will be refunded because of the damages caused by improper maintenance of the car.

2. Once we reached back we were about to submit the refund and bills.In application refund option made disable and charged extra 10000 against us.

3. Threatening against us.

4. Created a cause of damages to our life due to improper maintenance of the car.

5. Misrepresentation of extra charges which we are not at all responsible.

6. Delaying refund

7. Our overall plan got delayed because of this issue.

As informed on the call, the breakdown was caused due to users driving negligence and you have been charged for the same as per the policy. We regret to inform that we will be unable to reverse the charges levied on the booking.

Dear Zoomcar,

We got a mail from Zoomcar saying charged extra for additional kilometer driven which is a misrepresentation from Zoomcar company.

How can that be considered as driving negligence?

What driving negligence we have done?

Adding to the above point Zoom car representative told us Zoomcar will repay for the taxi expenses incurred for our remaining trip. After we reached back we were about to upload the bills. Once we tried that they disabled the feature o[censored]ploading bills instead they started asking money from us.

We understand your concern here, unfortunately, we will be unable to do much in this case as the charges are valid. We regret to inform you that we are unable to process the refund for the cab bills. As the charges are valid, we will be unable to reverse the damage charges levied on the booking.

Please explain what damage we have made to the car. Please provide service history from authorized dealer with the explanation that damage occurred due to the driving of last 280 kms which we have driven.

or as a final we are ready to settle with No Gains on this case to both the parties. Even though we already paid a good amount in advance.

Hello Zoomcar,

Do you really think a vehicle clutch plate can break down within 280Km ??Do RTP give licence to people who dont know to drive ? Are you running a toy shop where car can breakdown with couple of km ? You people are No1 fraud company . You give away faulty car and charge customer in excess which you have generally made a business now .. Guys never never turn up to zoomcar.
Hey Zoom,

IF you so genuine why are you charging customer wrongly ??? If they have brokedown clutch ask them to pay for it, but why did you send a notice stating you have exceeded Kms and need to pay the amount for it ? this shows your standards .. we have now almost published your fraud in different IT company and will continue so.
