Zoomcar — Delay in delivery of car, behaving and creating a threatening situation to customers - Employees working on intoxication

I and two of my friends booked a zoom car yesterday 25/03/22 in the evening around 5-6 pm to get it delivered by night 11 pm - pick up from Brookfields mall, Coimbatore, TN.

A person called and said that the car that we booked is damaged and so he will provide a new car, which will be delivered in half an hour. So we waited for that time and when we called back, they said the car is already delivered and is in the parking lot of that mall. We followed the location GPS and tried finding the car for about an hour. During the whole time that we were searching, the guy switched off his phone and shut us off! He called us back at 12-12:30 am saying that the car is not delivered yet and will be delivered in half an hour to one hour.

Being 2 girls and a guy, we didn't know what to do and just waited for the car to be delivered as we didn't even know the regional language. While we were waiting, even the security of the mall noticed us many times and came to us asking us that we cannot stay there and what were we waiting for! We somehow conveyed to them that the car is going to come in a few minutes and that we are going to leave! We saw them arrive with the zoom car and went to pick it up, but then 5 men came out of the car intoxicated with substance as I could feel!

They were very off and not in a proper state at all. And they told us that "the car is at another location, we came to pick you up!" We were very scared and worried looking at them and we planned to cancel it off. We tried talking to them, but they convinced us and asked us to sit in the car.

Two guys of those five guys sat and drove us to a location outskirts from the city which was 8km-10km away. The man who was driving was driving very fast scaring us, no matter how many times we told him to drive slow. They took us to an unknown location and asked us to wait, while they go and pick it up.

We waited there for another half an hour to one hour getting scared, worried not knowing what to do. While we tried to communicate they kept telling us that "We found the car, but the keys are not there, owner sleeping, the owner is on night shift, etc...We got very much scared and I was about to faint from the stress they have caused. My friends talked to one of the guys who stayed with us that if they don't get the car in 5-10min we will have to complain to the police! That man looked completely not bothered and was vaguely asking us to call them coming at us. I went back into the car and sat crying quietly.

At 1:30 they got us the car. These guys were very casual, laughing at us and looked very weird and I was very scared. We somehow took the car. They also kept saying that it's not their fault, their TL made it like this and all...

All plans were crashed due to this incident and we were very traumatized by the situation that we were put through. This is like an intentional threatening circumstance as I do not understand why there were 5 men in the car looking very not normal. I really think this isn't the way how things or situations are handled.

The agent calls us in the morning and says that we dropped the car 15min late! When we asked them about everything that they put us through, he just says "sorry my shift got over and so I went home and I don't know what happened next!"

I really want to say that this incident has traumatized me in a very bad way. We are distressed and this incident has surely harmed our physical, emotional, and psychological being of ourselves. Taking advantage of people who do not speak the same language or do not know the place, into something, benefiting themselves in a different way, is what I saw as the intention behind their actions.

I request you to kindly do whatever is needed to compensate for what we have faced! And I do not just want here sorry for this!
