I booked the car in august 2022, got the car and everything from the fleet manager. when i checked inside the car, there were no papers at all. and when i inquired about it, the fleet manager told me that he will whatsapp the papers to me as he was in a hurry to tend to another customer. we said okay and left. wasn't stopped by the police in the entire trip so the papers were never required to be produced before anyone.
when i dropped the car off and asked him if everything is done, he checked the car and signed it off with an additional charge of 900rs for fuel (which is fine). but i get a call 2 days later telling me that the papers of the car are missing and that 15000rs will be my fine. when i said i didn't get the papers, i was made to speak with the owner of the car and the fleet manager in a conference call. the fleet manager agreed to the fact that the papers were not in the car and then they shifted the conversation to KANNADA ( which i don't understand) and they kept the phone down after which the zoomcar representative told me that itll be taken care of, which they never did.
even after sending them emails and calls regarding the same, they said they will raise the issue to no avail. and now ive been threatened with legal action if i dont pay it up.
i dont think they have even checked with the fleet manager or the owner of the car about it ever again and now they are just looking for a way to extract more money. Was this information helpful? |
