We rented the car on 28th Feb with ID: JPS69BURK. after the Zoomcar delivered the car on the morning of 28th we started to drive the car for our Trip at the same day afternoon and found the car had safety issues and called the Zoomcar after driving the car for about 2.5 km. The Zoomcar agent said that they will send the replacement car within 30 min and asked us to stay with the car. We stated with the car doe about 3 hours and no one came from the Zoomcar. We called Zoomcar about 9 times but every time the Zoomcar agent kept telling us that they will call us back in 30 min. but till 6:30 pm of 28th Feb no one called us back, so we brought back the car at the same dropoff location and left the car there and the car keys and took the Uber to continue on our trip of 7 days. Zoomcar representative Sameer Kadam talked with us on the 1st of March and found that the car had safety issues and Zoomcar picked the car early morning on 3rd March. We called Zoomcar and every time the agent said that the request for a full refund has been approved and the full refund money will be deposited back to the original payment mode of the Bank account.
But on 17th March we got an additional bill from Zoomcar regarding an outstanding amount of Rs. 39606 and showing the Pickup date of 16th March instead of 3rd March.
This Company is a Cheat and big Scam that has charged a Total INR 59053 for a Total 5 Km driven car on 28th Feb. Instead of issuing the full refund as promised on the phone call from Zoomcar Agent they charged more.
I am still wondering how come Indian MINISTRY OF CONSUMER AFFAIRS,
