Can you think of any brand for leather shoes? An Indian with ‘need-based’ shopping habits won’t be able to think beyond Bata. But from my experience with Bata products over the last couple of years, I think it is high time we start looking for other brands. Here is my story of a 1500 rs pair of shoes that lasted less than 6 months - and I didn’t play football with them!

I bought a Bata shoes from CITY STORE ,College Road,Pathanamthitta,Kerala on 09/01/2010.After 3 days the shoes stitching unleashed and the reaxin is broken.. I went to the store and asked fo replacement ,but the store executive use some bad words and done some illegal activities. I beg him to replace the shoes other wise i will complaint against you in consumer court but he dont respected me...
What should I do... it is really cheating.....

Non availability of shoe laces across Bata Show rooms in Bangalore has become a regular affair. If you ask for shoe laces you get the standard answar. I purchased the above mentioned shoes from Authorized Bata Sale, Kanpur (Cash Memo Lost) and I was shocked to see how within 10 minutes of wearing these shoes, the full sole of the shoes damaged so badly that it appears as if they were made of sand. I have purchased a Femina 6715955 from Gole Market Bata, New Delhi on 22.3.09.Just after one and a half month pasting of the right slipper got out. I have three pair of sleeper and I have hardly wore it for 20 days. However, I took it to Gole Market Bata on 20.5.09 and they kept it for re-pasting and delivered the same on 25.5.09.
