[Resolved]  Airtel — Pathetic Customer service

Well Airtel has just qualified for a status with Bsnl. Had done a shift transfer of the phone. During the call had mentioned that DSL needs to be activated. The CS guy gave me a date of 5 days and said both will be done. After 3 days this guy shows up at my house, so i had leave work and go home. Apparently he had come to check the wiring. He told me the internet people will be coming the next day. For 2 days no progress. Called them up, they said it will be done by the next day. Next day called them up the CS girl Meenakshi tells me, well they have passes on the request to the concerned department and they will get to it when they can. After 4 calls the person finally shows up. He calls me up and said the connection is working. I asked him if the internet was working. He said it is but they don't have the laptop. So I drove home to find out that they have just done the landine. So i talked to the cs again who refred it to their mgr. She said that a form had to be filled so they are sending the form and it will be done soon. after a lot of pow wow they agreed tol have it installed definitely by 10:30 am the next day. waited waited no person shows up. The mgr said oh it will be done by 2pm. Its 6:10 right now and nothing done. I've left early from my office twice and cam late once. Pathetic, Pathetic, Pathetic CS.

DTH SET Box .ID [protected]
Today morning one Mr. Navin has connected regarding my problem and once again there is no solution of my problem insisting for pay Rs.350/- for STB box. He also said that their might be problem with my TV or with my Electricity line.

Instead of sending this problem to Technical Department they are insisting of Rs.350/- for set top box.

The problem is occuring again and again since the installation of DTH and STB Box was changed and once again the same problem is there in STB Box and now they are saying since gurantee is over I have to pay the amount.

I think Air tel is not ready to solve the problem.

Hello All,

I've trying to call airtell customer care division for last 2 weeks to activate my ISD. All of you must be aware that their customer service calls are chared. My problem never got resolved - whenever I call them they say they have a technical issue and call after 2 hours. days are there when I tried calling them more than 10 times a day and all the times I got the same answer ' technicla problem-call after 2 hours'. I am frustated and totally lost hope about their Customer service. I also advised couple of my friends to quit using airtel. I am getting a new sim card tomorrow. If this is happening again, I am sure people in Mumbai will never use airtel connection again.
i have an airtel mobile no. [protected] and i have buy a new x2-01 nokia set it has schem that 100 mb data but i dont get it and when i complaint agenst it the costemer care center dont atend my call
I called up Airtel DTH customer care this Monday morning 9th April regarding a video problem that we were facing causing the TV programming to freeze every few minutes. I was told that the service engineer will visit our place the same day to fix the same. We received a call from the service engineer who promised to come by 4 pm. However nobody came. I called up the engineer at 6pm and he said he would be at my place within half an hour, that also did not happen.
Next morning 10th April I called up Airtel customer care again and they told me that the complaint has been postponed and will be resolved on Tuesday itself. Again I received a call from service engineer and again he did not show up the whole day.
On Wed 11th Apr I tried my luck with Airtel customer care again and they promised that they would get the issue fixed ASAP. The service engineer again called up and again didn't show up at my place.
On Thu 12th Apr I had given up all hope of getting the problem fixed and was planning to get another DTH connection installed. I was pleasantly surprised when I got a call from the engineer who said he would be visiting my place by 11:30 am. As was expected nobody turned up, so at 2 pm I called him up and he told me that he would be coming by in another half an hour. Again that did not happen. I called him up again at 4:00 pm and again was told that he would be coming in another half an hour. Finally the engineer showed up at 5:15 pm. When I asked him why he was so late he didn't care to even respond properly as if I was speaking to a wall. I repeated the question and then he very obligingly and condescendingly said that he will come when he has the time. After investigating the issue he told us that the receiver has to be replaced. When we asked him to tell us the cost and replace the same he told us that he doesn't have the part with him nor does he know the cost of the same and told us he will fix it the next day.
My questions to Airtel DTH are:
a. What kind of pathetic customer service is this?
b. There is no commitment of any sort - no proactive measure to communicate any change of plans by the service engineers etc. We stayed back the whole of yesterday just so that the service engineer doesn't find the house locked when he visits and these people don't even care to call and inform about if and when they would come.
c. Why does Airtel charge for engineer visits for such pathetic service?
My AirTel number is [protected]. Recently, I have top up my number with Rs30 and after sometime Rs10 from my account got deducted. I called Customer Service and was told by one of the poor customer service agent that they have lodged a complaint and soon I’ll be receiving a call from Supervisor. Finally, I received a call and again I have to explain her entire story and as usual she was fake and if you call listen to that call, she promised and assured me that in the next 4 Hours I’ll be receiving the credit. However, after couple of hours I again call Customer Service and I was told that “SIR, YOU WILL BE RECEIVING THAT AMOUNT ON 1ST OF MAY”.... I was surprised, I told that gentlemen that I was promised that the amount will get credit in the next 4 hours.

Anyways, It was my fault that I trust AirTel so I waited till 1st of May which is today and called the Poor Customer Service Company once again to know how much time does it take for them to credited 9 RUPESS... tell u what I was again told that just now we have lodge your complain and again I have to wait for a call from the Supervisor.

I would appreciate if someone from the management could look into this issue and sort it out as soon as possible. I’m gonna wait till tomorrow evening and if I did not received my money, I’m gonna change my network from AirTel to Vodafone.

AIRTEL WIFI 4G NO.[protected]We are really sorry to say that We are deeply disappointed and frustrated by the way airtel has handled our case. We have been a long time user of airtelbroadband have been using a 4g wifi plan across all our branches.Problem :-wifi router wasn’t working properly. so we called up the customer care andlodged a complaint. The technicians never turned up instead closed thecomplaints without our notice. We have lodged a complaint since Jan 2015 andtill today airtel is failed to attend to the complaint. When we called up againin the month of April 15 airtel said that complaint has been attended and devicehas been replaced on records which is not done in practical. We have told themto give the time and date when the technician attended the complaint so that wecan check the CCTV camera and visitor pass records which airtel is unable to produce.Today, we sent a router to the service centre for repair at the dealer locatedat Rajajinagar and Mr.Benjamin is charging us Rs.1800/- for repairing the routerwhich was under warranty period.The worst router and worst service of airtel can anyone see in their lives. We are really frustrated and very disappointed from the sevice of airtel. Airteldo not take a feed back once complaint attended by the technicians as they canclose complaints on their own and make money. This is the training given by theairtel to the technical team and customer service team.Poor service and one can see poor work culture, carelessness in their team. Wefeel so helpless that the complaint not been attended since Jan 15 and not ableto find a permanent solution to this problem.Never thought that airtel would come down to such a nasty level.
