[Resolved]  Airtel — No resolution for poor network coverage by AIRTEL in 5 months

Hello,

I have been using a Airtel postpaid mobile no. [protected] and [protected] for the past 1.5 years in Indira Nagar, a fairly residential area, in Bangalore. The network reception at our home location both indoor and outdoor is very poor and we are suffering due to this for the last 5 months.
I have made a number of complaint to airtel through their customer care numbers – 121 and also through emails to Nodalofficer.[protected]@in.airtel.com and Appellate.[protected]@in.airtel.com on number of occasions. apart from numerous communications through customer care by me and my family members), but all in vain. I have been given SR nos. 48032903 and 50139462.

Initially they told me that in 90 days it will be fixed, now it's been more than 150 days and every time I dial an Appellate officer, they ask for 90 days time which is never ending for me now.

I am really disappointed with the customer care, nodal officer, appellate of Airtel. The matter has been escalated to the so called – highest authority in AIRTEL but no improvement has resulted in network coverage. Further, 2 surveys have been carried out and during all of these surveys it has been found that the network coverage is absolutely ZERO in my house. The poor network coverage is also confirmed by Airtel over telephone and in their email vide dated 28th MAY 2013.In several other emails they did not even acknowledge this issue which is highly unprofessional attitude from their side.

Further it is quite annoying that the customer care executives are quite happy to remind that the network coverage may be poor due to location of a building, topography, climatic conditions, the handset quality etc. for which we have already informed that the building is located in the heart of Indira Nagar area in Bangalore and we were getting adequate network coverage till Dec. 2012, the handsets used are LG Google Nexus 4, Samsung Galaxy duos . These phones were working very fine till Dec 2012 in my house and they work fine outside my area. The executives who carried the survey also confirmed the poor network coverage readings received in our phone.

Going a step further, the Appellate authority is updating me that their network coverage is at optimum level which is completely false statement. They are circumventing this issue since January 2013.

This has affected our professional and social life. It seems that Airtel is not interested in rectifying the issue and they are hanging on the issue. The response explained above is quite disappointing and reflects the poor working standards at Bharti Airtel Ltd.

I have wasted lot of time and energy in chasing with airtel and hope that Airtel senior management wakes up and direct them to take the necessary actions at the earliest. Else, it seems that I have no option but to switch to another operator, if my concern is not heard at this forum as well.

AirTel — No resolution of complaint.

Hi,

I had logged a complain for number [protected] on 28th Jan regarding no network coverage at my area. But till day 26 Mar 08 compain is in open status and I had asked airtel to give me waiver of rental from the day I had logged this complain and till it is not resolved. But inspite of doing this they had closed my outgoing calls from 20 Mar 08 and now today that is on 26 mar 08, they had closed my number without intimating me.
I had not paid my bill for last 2 months because the waiver is not updated and I had told them if they update the waiver, instantaneoulsy I will paying all my due amount.

My simple question is if they are not able to provide any proper services will Airtel is having any right of charging for services also???

Please help me in this regard.

AirTel — Poor Network of Airtel

Dear sir,

Am living in a place called vaniyambadi, Vellore Dist. i find a heavy network congestion in my place & i made a compliant for the same through call centre & i got a message that my problem will be solve in 4 days but still am finding very poor network of Airtel in vaniyambadi & Ambur, i dont know what for the customer care centre is situated when there is no one taking action on the compliants.. i request the concern authority to take serious action on this compliant & i hope that the problem will be solved soon.

Airtel company — Poor network coverage

I am an airtel customer for the last 3 years..right from the moment i took the sim, i am encountering a serious network problem...
eventhough i complained about my problem to the airtel authorities, there is no proper action concerned on this issue

Airtel — poor coverage and bad reception

I am a subscriber and now residing in Virar, but coverage here is very bad, no reception and calls need to be done multiple times. The Customer care number 121 is not reachable most of the time and their website have been experiencing problems setting up of an online account to do transcations.

AirTel — Poor Service & Network Coverage

Dear Sir,

I have been using a AIRTEL mobile Connection for past 4 years. A year back we moved to a new apartment.

Since then the network coverage in this area (Kundalahalli, Bangalore), has been pathetic. Numerous complaints and requests to customer care has been in vain.

Recently, frustrated of this service, I gave a final call to CC(customer care) on 01st November, 2008, requesting them to fix the issue by arranging for a signal booster at my place. They did not promise a solution but again gave me a turn-around time of 06th November, 2008, 10 A.M.(Reference #[protected], Service Request #[protected].

To my utter surprise, these people never even bothered to give a call-back and ask or try and resolve the issue. Again exhausted of fake promises, I tried calling them on 07th November, and they (CC) convinced me that they are trying to get the issue rectified with the TOWER in my area and should be resolved by 10th, Nov, 2008.(which no wonder never came)!!!

I gave them several calls again today(as the call was getting disconnected, due to poor network), and ruthless agents did not even bother to give a call back. I got through an agent called "Rajeev", who assured me that I would get a call-back if the call drops this time, which I'm waiting for till date.

I'm not concerned about the coverage or even the service more as I'm concerned more about my bill amounts. The bill exceed Rs. 2000/- every month, out of which 30-40% of the calls are those which are dropped in just 5-10 secs. Am I a fool to make calls of 2secs, 5secs and 10 secs?

Please help me in taking this to the people who can really make a difference. I being a citizen of responsible INDIA, urge you all to ACT today else you might be the next victim.

AirTel — No coverage from a month

Hello to fellow Airtel sufferers,

You might have observed that the complaint page has been removed from online and one can only call to 198 to register any complaint to Airtel.

I have a problem of Network covereage in Pimple Saudagar Area, pune where I am residing.There is no coverage at all. Some time once in 24 hours some single mark out of 5 revealed from some remote location and some PM(phaltu messege - SMS) comes.

Miserable Airtel cust. care chap give consolation to solve the complaint in four working days, and allots a complaint number. Even after almost a month Airtel Engineer are still snoring high. "GET BAD COVERAGE, WRONG BILLS, CALL DROP YOU GO ANYWHERE' is the slogan of Airtel engineers.

Very much people who pay their bill online will not be aware how wrongly Airtel insert wrong services and charges! For one of my Airtel number where I caught them(billing team) I got credit for three months. DO CHECK YOUR BILLS DETAILS OR GET FOOLED!

After doing this if you go some where and by mistake if network coverage comes, you get 'your bill due' messege. Now to this poor people who provide just exellent business just for themselves, useless to explain, how much business is lost just because of the number has been circulated for business purpose. They tried to compensate with huge amount of monthly rent(only rent) they dare to charge us for no coverage! Joke of the day!

I know precisely how max it take to up tower due to my previous room mate worked on contract with Airtel. Its not more than 5 hours! But here it has been a month almost!

You know one thing now I more rely on Govt. thing as they have erected a tower near by and I get full strength of signal with my new BSNL cellone. Long live !

AirTel — No resolution

I had taken two connections together in Dec 2008. The verification was done and I got the welcome letters for both the nos. I got the bills after one month and made the payment. On 26 Jan the outgoing calls on one of my numbers was deactivated due to negative address verification. When I called the Customer service they said there will be a new verification. After two days I again called cus ser and they asked me to go to nearest airtel outlet and they will activate it there itself because my verification was confirmed on my account, it's just that the airtel guys had entered sec32 instead of sec34 on one of my numbers. I went to sec61 outlet and the lady there said we cant activate it we will be sending a person for verifiaction and after two days your phone will be working. After 2 days I went to sector 18 outlet and the lady there said she had sent a mail to the concerned dept and she would call me in one hour but did not call i waited for 3 days. Yesterday I again called the cus ser and even spoke to shift manager but he said they could not help me as I had to ask my company to send a mail to airtel regarding this.

First of all this is a corporate acct but I pay my bills myself. I had taken the connections from the guy from airtel who sits outside the company so company has nothing to do with my connection.
Second point, I got my address verification done when I was present at home which means I had given the airtel guys the correct address but when those guys entered the info into their systems they entered the sector number wrong in one of the numbers and that is why one of the number is not working and the other is working fine.

If anyone at airtel has got trained on procedures and call handling kindly let me know because I really want to speak to one person who has really got some knowledge.

01. No proper coverage.

02. Phone Disconnected in usage time (Everycall)

03. No voice clarity.
