[Resolved]  Airtel Postpaid — REFUND OF SECURITY DEPOSIT

I requested disconnection and termination of my Airtel Postpaid connection, [protected], on March 10th, 2013 (nodalofficer.[protected]@in.airtel.com; [protected]@in.airtel.com; appellate.[protected]@in.airtel.com). I still have not received the refund of my security deposit despite several requests. All I get are excuses and the same template emails from who does not know what to do or is unwilling to sort the problem out.
I have now instructed a firm of lawyers to chase this and the bill to Airtel will include their costs.
I recommend that each and every one of you do the same and then let's see how quickly Airtel pays up or rectifies problems where you are owed money.
Don't let these bunch of thieves get away with it.
Also, warn each and every one of your friends and relatives to stay well away from these bunch of crooks. I have and this has resulted in 5 terminations/migrations and 8 people not signing up with them who were considering it. Hit them where it hurts!

Till now, I have contacted customer care several times, but the response is very negative even from the area sales manager, Kolkata (Ms. Preeti). If this continues, I will be forced to initiate legal action against the company.

This mail may be treated as the last communication from my side before starting the legal proceeding.

I HAVE BEEN PROMISED FREE SURFING BY AIRTEL, IF I BUY 2 SIM CARDS. SO I GAVE 2 CHQS AND COPIES OF ALL RELEVENT DOCUMENTS. LATER ON WHEN I MADE A FOLLOW UP WITH THE AIRTEL I HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT THERE IS NO FREE SURFING.

Airtel Postpaid mobile service. — Payment refund issue.

Dear Sir,
I'am Amitabh Maity using Airtel postpaid number-[protected].Issue is about my
dec2008 bill issue which was paid cash, But according to airtel they say that your
amount Rs424 was reversed on 6th March2009 in my citi bank cred card account
without any information, Now i've confirmed and checked this with citi bank no
such payment was recieved till date.Few day's ago my outgoing was barred for few
hour's.Right now i have no due's with airtel still they are troubling by sending SMS
of pay your mobile bill of Rs424.
This is way i'm being harresed by Airtel postpaid.

I was looking for a wifi connection and with the recommendation of someone i chose AIRTEL.
A representative of AIRTEL Mr Mangal - [protected] came to my place on 16th Dec 2009 to fulfill my requirements and after checking all the lines and everything I was told that I will be easily getting a connection within a week.
He took ADVANCE OF RS 1000 cash from me- RS 500 for the modem and RS 500 the installation charges.
But as expected there was no response from this person instead I contacted him. Then he told that already there is congestion in my area and the required connection would NOT be possible.
And I was told that the refund of Rs 1000 will be done in 45 days.There was no response from any of the representatives and that person was and still is out of contact.
After more than 45 days I received a REFUND Cheque from AIRTEL. And to my surprise the Cheque was of only Rs 100 instead of Rs 1000.
And now there is none to listen to our cpmplaints and I have no idea as to why Rs 900 have been deducted.
I want an answer soon else my next step would be to approach CONSUMER COURT. I do not care about how much money and time of mine will be wasted .

AirTel — Airtel Post Paid Refund

My Account Number is[protected]if required i can provide mobile number), I was migreted from post paid plan to prepaid in November, 2009. That time there was refund amount of Rs. 500/-. I have communicated so many times regarding this but no was taking request for Refund (always got response to contact postpaid department). And it was communicated to me that cheque will be delivered after 45days but when after 45days.. no one know... do i need to wait for years/decades/centuries?

I had change my postpaid airtel No. [protected] connection to a prepaid on 24/9/2009. and i request to refund my deposit amount. i had given several reminders & complaints , but there is no response & still i am waiting for my refund cheque after 5 months. it seems airtel is not bother to refund the amount.
For u r kind reference Complaint No. 29994213 dt. 17/12/2009 / 30323207 dt. 7/1/2010 / [protected] dt.25/1/2010 & Today i.e. 2/3/2010 i had spoken to ur customer service centre but they disconnect the line without completing the grievancies. hope u will look into this matter urgently & on priority.

Airtel Postpaid — Non refund of international roaming activation security deposit

I activated intl roaming on my postpaid airtel mobile number([protected]) on nov-09 and deactivated it on dec-09.Assurance was given to refund the security deposit of Rs 6000.00 latest by 18th Feb.After numerous calls to the customer care the money has not still been refunded.

airtel postpaid services — refund of deposit

Hello Everyone:

I paid a deposit for international roaming in Feb. 2009 for my parents who were travelling abroad. Amount Rs. 4500. After they returned, asked for a refund of the amount. Nothing up until now.

Have been complaining about poor connectivity at my residence. Not been resolved since ages. I get a SMS that the matter has been resolved. I should be the one to make this statement. But, the irony is that they send it.

I had to go abroad during the last week ofFfeb. 2010. Paid a refundable deposit of Rs. 4500. The services were not activated. Came back and sent a complaint. They are still investigating.When the matter will be sorted out is anybody's guess.

Last month a I sent several sms's to my friends in Mysore and Bangalore. I was charged rs. 5 per sms. Somehow the number had got prefixed with 0044 (UK code) and they claim that it was a international sms. Now, being a so called mobile services company they do not seem to understand that you cannot send a international sms by prefixing 0044 to a local mobile number.

The list goes on.

I am just waiting for mobile number portability to be introduced. I am sure many many others are also waiting for this.

AirTel — Refund

They charged me excess and to continue my connection i have paid the excess amount. On sebquent enquiry i found that i ma entitle for refund of Rs.2800/-. It slmost 1 month , still i have not received any refud. they have not given me anything in writting. i have only payment proof. My complaint ref No.with customer car of Airtel is F[protected]. They told me that it will take another 2 months.

Pl help me to speed up the refund.

AirTel — Non refund of Deposit

I disconnected my mobile no. [protected] (Airtel) after paying all dues in June 2009. I am yet to receive the deposit of Rs. 300 even after close to 11 months. I have provided all documentation pertaining to my new address and even given my bank account number since they promised to credit my account. I have escalated to their call centre, personally went to their office and inspite of several commitments am yet to receive the refund.

AirTel — Refund not received from airtel

I had subscribed to airtel services for a period of 2 yrs in gurgoan from july 2008 to july 2010.
They asked me for a Deposit of Rs 2000/- to activate my ISD services.
They do not activate ISD services unless the deposit has been paid.
In August 2008, My ISD services were activated after a payment of Rs 2000 by me.
I used these services till july 2010, on discontinuing the number in july 2010, when i asked for a refund of my deposit, thier system, shows no such record, i visited them several times, gave them all possible data. But still they refuse to have received this payment and have not refunded it to me.

As a rule airtel never activates ISD services unless the deposit is made, yet they refuse to acknowledge that i made the deposit and pay it back to me.

I have never defaulted on my payment and paid a last settlement of Rs 800 when only Rs 500 was asked, to cover my unbilled amount. Yet i am not getting my money back.

Airtel — sudden termination of Postpaid connection

I was using the Delhi circle mobile no. [protected], which is a post-paid connection. Suddenly on 3rd of Sep, 2010, my connection was terminated. When inquired from Customer Care, i was told that it was done on the orders of NDNC (National Do-Not Call Council) since I was using this no. for sending promotional messages related to my business.

Now, following are my justifications against the action taken by you:

1. This no. is a 10 year old postpaid no., with no default ever made (either in bill payment or in misuse)
2. It is a Corporate connection in name of GUPTA BROTHERS where I am presently working.
3. If you could check your records, there has never been any promotional use of this no., neither for any calls nor for any SMSes.
4. The no. was suddenly terminated without any warning, that led to serious after-affects on my work / company’s business.
5. Repetitive complaints made to Customer care / 121 could not serve the purpose as they had no idea how to rectify this termination.
6. As per the formal process, my Corporate Manager had sent mail (3 days hence the termination) to airtel by his official ID, that exists no where in your records.

As a legal step, I am writing this as a last warning being issued to Airtel (15 days hence the termination), after which a LEGAL NOTICE shall be sent, against which my company is authorized to ask for a ‘compensation’ for the losses suffered in business, as well as DEFAMATION suit would be filed against Airtel.
