[Resolved]  Airtel (Shell Mobile Lottery) — fake lottery message

Airtel Subscriber - India — Price of GBP 250000

On 18/12/2008 I got a SMS stating that I have won 250, 000-00 GBP in 2008 ( 02 UK ) In'tl Mobile Draws in UK . I was asked to contact Dr Larry and his reply to my mail has asked me to provide certain personal details.

Please inform me whether its TRUE or a fraudulant Game Plan of certain mischievous elements.
Your early reply will be most appreciated.

even i have received an similar email on my vodafone number at the same date however i went ahead with the instructions they gave me as i had just been on a holiday to london and though that i must have genuienly received some money prize and realized the catch was to pay 39000INR however i am hoping to get the person delivering the money to me caught and hopefully will be successful in busting this gang

I also received an similar kind of messeg my RIM mobile .I followed the process to claim the prize money Company asked me to pay 42500 INR to claim my money ... plz dont reply to such kind of message or mail they all are scam .go to net and check for this company you will come to know that many more persone have received similar msg i cant understant how can a company pay thousands of dollers to so many people its a pure scam dont go for it...

I receive a similar type of message on 01/07/2009 on my RIM mobile that your mobile no.have won

i receive a message in my relience mobile that i have won shell mobile lottery of 200, 000 gpb. so, i wan"t to know that is this a fake or real. A person named TONY ADAMS is coming to india to give us the winning amount on 13.07.09.and the king security company has demanded for 500 pounds as clearance charges. not what should i have to do?

I have received twice message, first message from [protected] at 01/07/2009 Time 11:35 P.M. an other message received from TA-WEBSMS on 14/07/2009 Time 12:35 P.M. on my RIM mobile that your mobile no.have won GBP 200, 000, 00 on the shell mobile lottery, for claims contact to Dr.Frank Luis ([protected]@live.com) or [protected].

My father is using a mobile of airtel in punjab[protected]and from last quarter he is receiving a message from some 12 digit number that you have won ten lakh on 15 aug when airtel held a lottery, its ok we use to receive this type of message but this time they even know the SIM numer of 14 digit
how they got the sim number (airtel is responsible for that)
when my father tried to register a complaint to airtel they said this is the duty of police and police denies to register the complaint saying this is happening everyday to someone in area
request file my complaint and for any other enquire mail me please

I got a call in my cell no [protected] from [protected] i won a 5 lakh online lottry from airtel and they given one more number [protected] concern person is mr.Vijay kumar plz chk this issue and take serious action...

i lost my huge amount from my talk time in my mobile balance. its a good steps toward the such victims which should be punished.

I got a call from telephone no [protected]n my mobile phone no[protected] that i had von the lotry of rs 32, 00'000/ what should i think about it.

My driver who uses an airtel no. also received a call today from a no.[protected] claiming to be from Airtel & that he has won a lottery for Rs.10 lakhs!!! and asked him to contact one Aakash Verma from Airtel - [protected] who will tell him how to get the lottery money. Had to explain to him that all this is a fraud & not to get swayed in by the colour of money which is a way of luring in people & get the account details.

I have received a call from [protected] that i won Airtel online lottery for rs. 10 lakhs. and for more information please contact [protected] belongs to Amit Kumar Airtel.. Please take action against such fraud calls.

I also received a call from +[protected] saying that you have won a lottery and please call at this number [protected].I called them he asked me to call after 15 min.I didnt call.What should i do?

This is a Pakistani number and I've forwarded this complaint to Police..This is a total fraud

I got a call [protected] on my mobile no. they told me, " I have won 25 lac online lottry form airtel they give me one more no.[protected]. he said dish tv rechare of 11000 buy and tell about him then he seng 25 lac. I have having more information about him and company is it ford

I got a missed call from[protected] and when i called back, they said i had won a lottery for Rs. 25 Lakhs...

then they asked me to call on[protected] for further inquiry...

at that point i realized i was charged at Rs. 10 per minute and on further research on net, found out that this was a scam...

i just wanted to notify that the numbers originating from +0092 are from Pakistan and these Lottery tricks are for making you part with your personal info.
Please do not respond to the numbers...
