[Resolved] Airtel — Value added service | |||
Dear Sir/ Madam, I have an airtel no. [protected]. In this number one value added service "ISLAM PORTAL' has been activated. After activation airtel has been deducting Rs.3/- per day. I have been calling airtel customer care since last 20 days and I had talk with customer care Executive, Senior Supervisors and Manager several times to deactivate the service. They assured me that the service would be deactivated but till now I didn't get any result from the airtel and still they are deducting balance for the above mentioned service. Therefore, I request you to kindly take an action why my value added service has not been deactivated after informing them several times. With regards, M. I completely agree with ArunKumar. Why does Airtel activate a service without customer's knowledge and then deduct money, when the service was not requested in the first place!!! This is unacceptable. Why should we send a STOP message to deactivate the service and the worst is to get in touch with the Customer Care to have money credited back. Firstly, you have to wait for a long time to get through the automated service and the customer care executives disconnects the call mostly when they claim that they don't have the so called 'authority' to credit back the money. My question to Mr. Rakesh is why does Airtel activate a service that was never ASKED for. We being aware of our rights can atleast fight back. What about millions of other customers who aren't even aware of how their money is geting deducted. This is a sincere request to Airtel Team, to stop activating any services without the cutomers knowlegde

AIRTEL PRE-PAID SERVICES — Value added services without consumer concern
Hi,Its always been a tough time talking to Airtel mobile customer services. 1st of all its been a new experience that we have to start paying to speak to customer care executives for all the mistakes they do. Secondly, my dad is a person who use mobiles only to make calls and does not know to check messages. There was some ad message that he was receiving for about 6-8 months about Amulya..I do not know who Amulya is but his mobile gets updates on what Amulya does everyday..and he's been charged Re1 per day. He was not aware of this. One day I called the customer care executive to have complained the same and de-activate. That's when I was even aware that his balance was getting deducted everyday. When asked about when the package was activated as i was worried if my dad pressed any keys unknowingly, I was told that a sms about the activation of this Amulya package was sent to him. It had an option whether he wanted to activate the package. If he said yes it would get activated..and if he does not reply its considered that the package needs to be activated..What rubbishness...?? Upon questionning further they only apologised and never spoke anything about the loss we made in the airtel pre-paid services.
Please tell me a solution to teach a lesson to Airtel and also how to get other mobile users aware of such unnecessary ads.

AirTel — related value added services
i would like 2 inform that my name is vijay chauhan.i using airtel prepaid.i got mesej from airtel.use free romance service i press *321*147# company charged 10 rs. i talked with company's exec. they refund me charged. but then after automatically charged 10rs. without press any buttun.todays 4/02/2010.repeated charged deducted. 10rs. without press any buttuns.& company's exec. told me system showing u used this services but i didnot used this service.if company tell me u put your phone for observation.i am readdy for that.i req. to company plz refund me 20rs.for 2 days charged.& i Also active my do not disturbe service. so be help full in this case. if possible.20rs. is not bigger thing but wrongly thing is bigger cheat. sir,

Please do the needful and give customer the services for which they should remember you.

Dear Sir,My mobile number is [protected]. I have not subscribed any value added service from my mobile but you had intensely start one service "Airtel udupi blog": and charge Rs. 10 for this and one more service for which you had charge Rs. 1. All these services is no use for me.
When i had tried to complaint about it you costumer service operator is not responding well. his response was very much negative.
I had already send request for DO NOT DISTURB by 20 days ago but till now it is not activated.
Please return my amount as soon as possible.

Im using Airtel prepaid number [protected] yesterday i got message that "Get 4 Movies" is activated in my mobile and i was charged Rs.30.I never requested to acftivate any such service.I contacted customer care to deactivate the amount and revert the money.The request is CBDOV[protected], but till now the amount was not credited to my account.I like TRAI should interfere in the Value Added Services that only on written request any VAS should be activated.
My name is Satish Kumar C.S. I have been airtel postpaid connection since from 2004, using same till now but from four days I have been charged with some value added service messages like CAT Fastrack Pack charged 10/-Rs regarding this I have made enquired with airtel customer care, and they anticipated and given assurance that they will correct the such act, for my enquiry with them they given reference number COVWC[protected], its happened at 12pm on[protected]. Even in spite of my complaint once again at 4.06pm on same day I have charged with value added service of Meet and Greet they charged 30/- Rs. Regarding this I once again enquired with customer care they once again given assurance that will system Jenrette they will correct that regarding this they given reference number COVWC[protected], after that on same day at 9.42pm they charged with new value added service Games and Applications charged 5/-Rs. In single day I have lost my 100/- Rs from four day I have last 240/- Rs of currency without taking any prior consent of me and now they are not deducting it. And mean time I have decided to cut my relationship with airtel and want to go another good service providers please any one help me which is good service provider in Karnataka.
