Dear Mobile Users,

This is going to be a big hit for major telecom players who thinks Customers are fool enough to Stick on to single Mobile Service Providers. Soon Airtel the leading GSM Operater in India will come to the bottom end service provider in India.In Kerala If Airtel customers calls customer care for registering a complaint it's chargeable. Truly unfair.This is been implemented all over India by making fool of customers by the help of TRAI. Since every one knows the MNP (Mobile Number Portability) is not yet started implementing as the discussions goes no where about last 2 years. But the telecom players and the TRAI began acting against the basic customer rights?? Just think Do you pay any show room guys or representative to try demonstrating about the any of the Products??? This is as simple as saying for registering our own service complaint is chargeable for you..... The Airtel says 198 is Toll free. That is not true. They are fooling up the customers and making money in unethical way. Till now Tata Docomo and reliance not charging for the customer care calls. They straightly says like We are not ready to punish the customers.. Hurry up guys we need to De promote this Airtel who thinks the customers are fool.

Methods to do achieve our customer goals are

1) Dont allow them to promote their offers by sms or any means by sending an SMS START DND to 1909

2)Please don't activate any of their Services like Missed Call Alert (This is free in Docomo & some Networks)

3)Please deactivate the Caller tune service they offer

4)Please not that after sending START DND any calls or promo comes from the provider we can claim RS.120 for every SMS or Promo Calls

5)Use the other Network Operators SIM for going Domestic&International Roaming by forwarding your calls to the other Mobile operator. (please check the rates of roaming charges (I believe the Docomo and Relaince is much cheaper compared to Airtel)

6) De motivate all the options where they can make money by fooling customers

Airtel — DND not Implemented

I registered for DND long back.

But still getting promotional calls from airtel.

The day mobile no. portability starts I am gpoing to pull out of my Airtel connection, the fraud people.
I am postpaid vodafone coustomer, no [protected].my billing time 1st date to last date in every month .so1st april in 5.28 am i send message "bill" to 111 reply unbilled amount is Rs 291.50 paisa, its ok because bill was not update .next in 7.56 am again i send message "bill" to 111 reply bill is Rs 337.96 for previous month (march) its ok because billed was updated . and unbilled amount is Rs 33. its how possible i have no call from midnight 31st march to1st april till 8 am.then i call coustomer care 111, 198, "vodafone shop" no one can satishfied me .
The fact is that telecom companies forcefully implemented the Mechanism for charging Customer care calls...See the facts, ...Act againt the rude attitude by some of the Major Telecom Companies.. Except TATA Well Done Tata Docomo & Tata Indicom for not charging customer care calls

The telecom regulator Of India planing to meet the two telecom industry bodies next week — Cellular Operators Association of India and the Association o[censored]nified Service Providers of India — over a demand by the industry that they be allowed to charge subscribers for calls made to customer care . At present, all calls made to the customer care are free.

“Operators have told us that a significant majority of calls that mobile users make to customer care are for enquiry purposes, and not related to grievances. Since running these call centres and offering customer care involves a huge cost, they want consumers to pay for this service, ”

But Trai officials are divided on the demand by telcos. “We do not have any mechanism to determine if a call to the customer is for a complaint, enquiry or for other purpose. Interpretations can vary. We want to give telcos a hearing on this issue, ” another Trai official added.

The Trai is also planning to Close the Do-Not-Call (DNC) registry, as this has failed its purpose of ensuring that telemarketers do not make unsolicited calls or send SMSs to those enlisted in the DNC. This is true with all the facts. I also had a very bad experience with vodafone. Hey guys dont go for vodafone connection. Which is the worst service in India. Have you ever called to vodafone customer care? make a call to vodafone post paid customer care then you will understand the fact that the executives will speak like the CEOs of vodafone. Try asking anything you can definately notice. Since I'm using vodafone and airtel service. In my opinion the Airtel executive gives clear rectification they have atleast the courtesy of attending and speaking like an executive.
Airtel owners may have expensive habits of buying latest cars, company of glamorous glitterati and may be countless other indulgences, but to source money for these habits from us poor clients is not justified. I am appalled at Airtel's attempts to charge us for registering complaints which arise in the first place by your mistakes.

By the law of reciprocity, I request that you must do the following:

1. No charges for period of inactivity – when you could not supply service due to disruption in your equipment
2. Reimburse payment for the calls (made through another service provider) during period of inactivity on your part

I am thinking more solutions for clients but meanwhile, I will appreciate if you can answer above two.
Hey this is a fake technique to diver t any enquiry comes in 198 to 121 (Chargeable Customer care). But overall this will cause reverse effect as I regular user of add on service on both providers (Airtel & Tata Docomo) Now I just switched to use only with Tata Docomo for which at least can rectify any service issue with the customer care. Hhahahah. operators like Airtel, Vodafone, Idea will have to rethink about their decision as the customers are mainly prefering the TATA as their prime operator for the good service.

Absolutely right. I am using !dea prepaid and recently they have charged to talk to their Super customer care executives. I dont know whether they are IAS officers or not. The main players airtel, idea and vodafone are too proud and they are gonna suffer soon.
One thing I disagree is that Reliance is a good operator. they will deduct 30rs after every recharge saying tht something have been activated. Better switch to docomo.
my number is [protected]. RS 837 deducted from my phone on 2nd of April 2011 because o[censored]sing internet for 25 mins. the 198 Guy (coustmer care) told me i used 5 GB data.Timing o[censored]sage (2nd of April 7:39 PM to 8:04 PM), for that the is the deduction.
I talked to 5 different agents they say "hold the line we r transfering u to our Senior executive" then put me on hold, and never return (disconect the line) they say thats its a technical issue.
HELLOOOOOO same technical issue always. From 2nd april till today 5th April i have not talked with there Senior executive, nor my issue is been corrected, THE complaint no. is 67702100 .

Can some one look into it Coz its not possible to use 5GB in 25 Mins with the internet speed Airtel provides.


now its been 9 days since i posted this complaint. Still no hearing has been done
They are fake...1st they were not picking up my call and now last two dayz they stopped the service of calling them...
