[Resolved]  GE Money Cash Card — No response from the customer care to settle dues & close card

I was given a GE Cash Card for my good transaction record with them & the limit was Rs. 10000/- . Subsequently the same was increased to Rs. 75000/- As i was buying a house in Nov. 2005 I withdrew the amount. Subesquently I put the card in locker & was paying up 4 - 5 thousand everymonth inspite of not receiving the statement. I bought this to the notice of their callcentre but to no avail. To get my monthly statement I had to stop paying my monthly dues & only then I received copies of my monthly statement in oct 2006. where the dues were still at 75000/- & the best part was that somebody had withdrawn 10000 on my card inspite of the card beingkept in my safe. When I bought this to the notice of GE Money they told me to reduce 10000/- & pay the balance & close my card. I told them that do not want to close the same. But they didnt agree . So I told them that If they wnt me to close my card then they need to give me a settlement amount with an instalment option for which again they do not agree.I also told them that I will pay them 40000/- in six instalments/ as I have already paid more than 45000/- in the last year. They send me a lawyers notice which was thrown outside my house. for which my lawyer has replied. The best part is that in this entire episode they have not reponded to me even once in writing.
Can anybody please let me know how do I go about solving this entire issue.

GE Money Cash Card — Charge without knowledge

I Hold a GE Money Cash Card since two years. I repaid the whole card in october and afterward I didnot received any statement from the ge money. in november I received a call from somje collection gency that I have overdue amount of Rs 804/-. when I asked for the details she was not able to tell me the details. I asked for the monthly statem,entb she said that I contact the customer care. I tried a lot but in vain as my card is not connected through there line.

Then after a week again the same lady called me about the payament and again I asked the same details or the statementb as I haven't received the Statement of November also.

I received My statement of account on 27/11/2007 in which I was charged for purchases and Late Fee.

I contacted the local office of GE Money they said you contact Coustmer care. I told them the problem that I am able to get connected then they connected me to customer care.

From there I came to know that I have been levied with annual; charge and Insurance Charges in the moth of October 2007. and as I ahve not made the payament in time The late fee is added in Novemebr.

In regards Insurance according the statement I received it expired in september 2007 hence no question of payament of the same and when I didnot received the statement then how I can pay any dues on the statement. after this the Executive asked me to pay RS 130/- (Which I paid through cheque and the same is received by them)and told me that rest all will be waived off from the statement and my next statement will be nill statement.

Now I received the decemebr 2007 statement with pending dues and Late fee charges which amounts to Rs 812/-.

In the statement Insurance charges are levied and the same insurance has expired in september still they are charging me the premium.

I mailed in regards to this twice but till date no reply is received from GE Money.

I Donot understand what should I do????

My Cash Card no is [protected].in the month of september i made a transaction frm my GE Money cash card, but b4 tht i confirmed wis GE Money exes whtr i can make the transaction or no n whthr it can b converted into n EMI or as it was nt posibl for me to pay the entire amount in one shot.aftr taking all the details frm thm, i made a transaction of 48000/- n immi call GE exe to confim abt the transaction n its conversion into n EMI..but d exe tld me tht i made n xcess transaction so i need to pay the excess amount i.e. 10500/-..so i did d ndful n requested thm to convert my things into n EMI n thy assured me for the same.evn aftr continous follwups with thm.thy dint converted my loan into n EMI..then i come to knw tht my card is been blocked for security reason n tht, th block will b removed in 5 working days, so i hv to call aftr 5 days..i did as thy said.aftr 5 days, i get a shock by GE Money by sayin tht my laon cannot b converted as i dint informd them withing 10 days n now i hv to pay the entire amount..i m a middle calss working women n i cant afford to pay such a huge amt in one shot. i said by their recovery agent Thakur from pune tht i jst have to pay 38000/-(36000/- + 2000/- int chgs) aftr which my a/c will be nill.so i paid them 2000/-, then 9000/- and latr 27000/-.assuming that now finally i m free from the burden of this laon.but agn i ws shcoked whn i got a statement from GE Money asking for the outstanding amt of 12000/-...i gave them a fax regarding deactivation of my card n its reason, but still they have not helped me n are still harassing me .GE Money n its Exes have mentally harrased me by continuosly giving false commitments n wrong information..i dont want to be a defaulter n hence i cleared all my dues genuinely, but GE Money is not ready to accept its mistake n continously demanding late fees n intrest charges, which i m not liable to pay..pls help me in this.i paid for wht i had used. i used 36000/- n paid 38000/-.i m continously falling sick because this.even after paying the dues they r demanding money ..pls .i request u, pls help me from this.as genuiene customer i have paid for what i used.
a.k.a. GEMB, GE Moneybank, GE Money, CareCredit, Kwik Comfort, JC Penney Credit.

The first thing to do is go to www.complaintsboard.com. Do a search on CareCredit, GEMB of GE Moneybank. You will notice they have a running scam.

1) Their offer is for interest free financing if the balance is paid in full after x-months, usually 24.

2) No matter if you mail in your payments, have autopay from your charge card, or direct debit from your bank account, GE will ALWAYS claim they did not receive your payment, or received your payment late. Why? Then they can add late charges! And of course, your last payment is always lost, therefore “you did not pay-off your balance in the predetermined time frame”. Then they try to collect a huge interest payment effective from the inception date.

3) You cannot contact the company via e-mail; they ignore e-mail.

4) You cannot get a response via snail mail; they ignore your letters.

5) If you are willing to sit on hold for 45-60 minutes, and punch in your account number countless times, you may be able to reach a person with a pulse. In most cases, the employee speaks/understands English, but are not overly bright.

6) Said person will claim your payment was not received, or received late.

In my case, I had electronic records of every payment. I also paid extra every month. When asked that I provide the proof, I faxed copies of the electronic transaction records as well as e-mailed same. Of course, they "never received it" despite the fact that I was holding the FAX confirmation in my hand and looking at the e-mail receipt.

Advice:
If you have entered a contract with these scammers, beg, borrow or steal whatever amount of money you owe them. DO NOT PAY INTEREST OR LATE FEES (unless you actually were late). Send a CERTIFIED CHECK, RETURN RECEIPT REQUESTED FOR THE AMOUNT YOU CHARGED less any payments already made.

If you did direct debit or credit card payments, close the bank account or cancel the credit card IMMEDIATELY AFTER the check has cleared or the withdrawal is posted. They tend to post charge card debits almost immediately.

Check for class-action suits in your area; there are many going on nationwide. Save all your evidence if they come after you. However, they won't because they would lose; I am telling you from experience. I threatened them with court and was refunded all interest and late fees.

GE Money Cash Card — Incorrect charges and Lack of processing knowledge

My name is Rajkumar Singh, Card Number: [protected], I have been paying them regulary, and have paid them almost more than Rs. 50000/- till date, I have been regulary clearing all the dues but once I called their call center just to inquire the procedure about converting the EMI amount back to the normal (I have converted around rs. 28000 into EMI for 24 month of which I am paying them around Rs1500 monthly) instead of solving my query they cancelled all the EMI and converted the entire amount to narmal and they are asking he to pay the entire amount and also charged heavy intrest on the same. I tried calling up the Customer Care but all the efforts in vein, They promise call back within 24 hours but I am waiting for Past 1 1/2 month for that 24 hours to come, I even mail them but still no response.

Can any one help what need to be done, My cell Number [protected]

I didnt asked to do insurance for me and they are charging every month for that. I didnt paid and i will not pay that due. I dont want to use this card. so, come and collect this Ge money Cash Card.

If you are still using that card and not making payment to ge, again not pay for that . after some moths you again receive a notice from consumer forum. still go there and tell your problem and also say i havent more money to make payment and please help me to protect from GE.
dont pay more if you pay all amount. just go to consumer forum and apply there with and application form and its charge ( not more then 30 rs.). after a few day notice will come to you from consumer forum and ge money also. go there and tell judge to your problem and also say i cannot make more payment and i havent money. its your right and do it as soon as possible.

GE Money Cash Card — Cash card regarding

I too have major complaint against GE Money CASH CARD They recently lowered my credit limit on my cash card account from INR 87, 000 to 52, 000. They stated "upon review of my account"...not true, as I have never been late on my payments, always paid more than the monthly payment, paid the account off several times, and never close to my limit. I have been when they see any late payments, they decrease the credit limit on their account holders. It hardly seems fair, especially in my case. and they hearsed me to call me again n again in spite of no pending payment .

With reference to above I am having my GE A/C having above said account number. In my account outstanding balance amount approximately 14000 showing. The outstanding amount payable is except cheque bounce charge of 4x500=2000.

The bounced cheques of four are issued to Galaxy Motar towards purchase of TVS Motar –cycle No. KA 02-EH5041 purchased on 21st April 2004, but I have paid the amount of bounced cheque without including bank charge for bounce cheque that is (4x500).

I am not under standing that how you are showing approximately Rs.14000 payable in my account. In this regard I went to your office 4 to 5 times to settle the matter but there is no proper response or they are not told whom I have to contact regarding this problem

In this regard I am facing problem by your side. I want to clear my account by paying of Rs. 2000/- ( even this is also too much ) and I am not able to pay 14000.

I am mentally very much disturbed because of this. So please give proper solution to this problem within 10 days or I will go to Consumer Court regarding the problem facing by your side.

So once again I request you to settle problem immediately.

The GE Money card staff are harassing everyday by calling me for their mistake. They did not send the statement and I paid approximate amount by due date. They sent their person to collect moneyi.e. a meagre amount of Rs.210/- They spent more than this amount just by calling me every day morning and evening. Did any one understand what I go through. They are not willing to accept their fault. I would like to know what I am charged before I pay. From the year 2000 they have charged me insurance etc. Where is that amount? Nobody seems to understand that I did not receive the statement and paid an approximate amount.

In the meanwhile I did pay another thousand rupees to my account.

I would like to make a real complaing to the competent authority? Who can help me in this regard?

GE Money Cash Card — wrong charges on my card

I have requested to close my card in2005 after making full payment of my last bill i recieved. Customer service confirm me the closure of the card after that i have not revieved any bills on my adress. but now from last two months Ge money people are calling me for the payment of Rs. 6000/-. according to them there was a renewal charege of Rs. 350/- which i have not paid. inspite closure of my card account the renewal chages we debited & aslo i was not aware of this for all five years, no letters, bills or calls for five years, Now suddenly they are asking me for the payment, Pls suggest.

GE Money Cash Card — Extra & Wrong Charges

After paying my dues before due date in April 2011 , the company did not show it in my account statement and asking for the payment. The cheque that was dropped in drop box was cleared from my account after 5 days but still they are saying it is missing. I sent them the pass book xerox copy but they are saying that they do not consider pass book photo copy as proof of payment mean time they are charging me Rs. 350/- every month till to current month. Now they are saying that they will adjust the payment but the late fees charges are irreversible. They charged me about 1500/- extra for last 4 months so I do not understand what a one can do against such a company.
