[Resolved]  Gem Tours And Travels — Cheating on honeymoon tour

I had booked my honeymoon tour with Gem tours to South Africa. The itinerary which was shown to me at the time of booking was changed by them in the final itinerary which was given to me one day before departure. The new itinerary did not contain a couple of places which were promised in the itinerary shown at the time of booking.

Further, the quality of service was very bad. When we reached the first day, the hotel mentioned that there has been last minute changes to the bookings from Gem Tours and the hotel has shifted. After a 9 hour long journey, it was very tiring to wait for 3 to 4 hours for the matter to be sorted.

We were promised to have an escort from Gem Tours for the entire tour. Firstly, the escort provided had never visited South Africa and did not know of anything in South Africa. Because of his ignorance, we missed on visiting so many locations and faced number of problems. We were promised a mini bus at the time of booking the tour for internal transfers in South Africa but the car that we actually got was quiet small and it could hardly accommodate our luggage and could not give us a comfortable journey.

After the tour when we met the concerned person at Gem Travels, we were told that you faced all this problems because you were only 4 people on the tour (which they had earlier confirmed that only 4 travellers will also get all the tour benefits that they have promised). They also did not reimburse the extra cost that we had incurred for the travel done to the places which were promised in the earlier itenarary.

When I spoke about the consumer forum, they gave me a challenge to go anywhere I would like. Request your help. Thanks.
