Hitachi has the worst service network in Ghaziabad. My complaint No: [protected] has been registered on 21.06.2012 with Hitachi Service centre in Ghaziabad Ph: No:[protected] & [protected]. Till today i.e.25.06.2012 they could not rectify my problem of ''No cooling''. I had purchased the fridge 2 years back only of 438 ltrs triple door and from now only it has started giving problem. Their service guys are having empty mind and one guy visits and sees the problem then passes on to somebody else who will come with some spare part. The other guy gives excuses that the spare part is not coming from the Hitachi company and hence we are helpless and when the spare part will come, we would come to you. After rigorous follow-up on phone some 3rd guy visits with the part after 3 days, installs it and demands instant money without satisfying that the problem have been resolved or not. Now that I have resisted in paying money and wanted to see the performance first whether the fridge has started cooling or not. After 4 hours also the same is not cooling and no ice is being formed. So when I made a complaint at the Mobile No. of the service guy, they simply reply to call to their head office and when I call their Head office the same goes completely no reply. After sometime I receive an SMS that ''my request No. has been closed in their system and please call our customer care No.[protected]if it has not been fully addressed- Hitachi service centre'' .

These so called well known brands are befooling the customers by extracting hefty amount by showing their brand value during the sale with no committment of after sales service.

I would appeal everybody not to purchase HITACHI products.

Service Station.

i have also bought a 3 door hitachi fridge about 2 yrs back . i will say that the cooling is still superb but the body developed a hairline fracture sort of thing after about 10 months of buying at the place where the chill tray comes sliding out. when i contacted the service people, they first denied the presence of the defect and then later on a senior person blamed me saying that i must have dropped some very heavy weight on it. in short the service people r very hard to get, u can mail them, u can call them, but the experience is quite frustrating.i think the defect lies at the door of the service people more than in the product per se, at least till now in my case. So now when i am thinking of buying a new fridge, i know which brand i will not but-- no prizes for guessing. parvez from lucknow.

I am using hitachi four door refrigerator and i am facing very serious problem.in my fridge "pcb" is not working.the worst part is customer care service.no one is there to respond.today its 16 of may the peak time of summers and technician says that it wil come with in a week.what rubbish! I am throwing out my things from fridge because its getting waste. And while talking to customer care service they just keep their phone off.my experience with hitachi is bad, poor nd worst.its just one and half year i got this fridge and i am feeling like to throw out the fridge and service is very very poor.if any one is there to answer please let me know in this email id "[protected]@gmail.com"
This is with regards to a Hitachi Refrigerator Model: R-S37SVND (WGR)-3DOOR 438 LTS which I had bought on 26/06/2011 from M/S SUMMER AIRCON Lajpat Nagar, New Delhi. Apparently on 23rd May 2013 (Friday) the refrigerator stopped functioning and I logged a complaint at customer care (number-[protected]) on 24th May 2013 at around 12:30 noon and a reference number [protected] was provided to me and have received the sms alert on my mobile too for the same which says (Thanks for calling the Hitachi Service Centre. Your req.[protected] for NO COOLING/LOW COOLING IN REF COMPARTMENT of your REFRIGERATOR Shall be attended asap.). I was informed that I would be getting a call back in next 48 hours, however below is the series of trouble that I have faced ever since the complaint has been logged :-

In the first place the number for customer care ([protected]), it takes ages to get through the line and speak to someone.
Other customer care number[protected] mentioned on your website is fake one (just try yourself and you'll come to know).
Customer care service personnel are not aware why would it take 48 hours to arrange a call back or a technician visiting the house.
Despite several reminder past due 48 hours _ the customer care executive keep on replying just one thing “we have forwarded your complaint and someone will get back to you”, well and this status does not change EVEN after 48 hours have passed.
They do not make us speak to the Supervisor so that we can be attended to in a professional and just manner, their reply “as a policy the supervisor cannot talk to you”.
Its been now 3 days in actual 76 hours since the complaint has been logged and the customer care executive still does not have an update.
Service center numbers[protected] &[protected] of Okhla Phase-1 branch provided to me by your customer care personnel and asked me to get in touch with them if no one responds.
Let me ask you to try any of these numbers[protected]no one picks[protected]never connects)
Web call (Service request form) option provided on your website which also does not work (I have tried that too and has no record of the same with your costumer care).
I fail to understand during this peak summers why would your company take 48 hours to respond. I have kids at home _ summer vacation, guests visiting, unable to drink cold water forget food & fruit beverage storage for summer. To top it all there is no assurance from your company on sending someone to even check the fault, forget the repair (past due 76 hours). God knows when would your organization get the time to send someone to get the fault checked and am sure he would not be able to repair the same at that point in time. He would check and take time to come back with the solution to the problem _ guess, there is no concern for your customers and quality delivery on post sale service at your organisation. I honestly thought of Hitachi a very high and competent brand in all spheres but its when I face facts is when I realize that all said & done for sales _ get reversed for complaints.

And I would also like to understand why would your customer care service centre supervisor not talk to any client making complaint?????? Why am I not being allowed to speak to him / her ???? Does your company really has this policy?

I have paid thousands of Rupees to have been left at the middle of nowhere with a HUGE BOX that’s called a refrigerator with no services from your organization. Do you all not have any track record of the number of calls received / calls attended to and faults repaired and feedback taken or are you just interested in selling your products with no responsibility of any after sale services / complaint that your clients face with the products.

This is the most harrowing and never seem to be ending problem as I still have no concrete answer / assurance from your customer service executive. They have been trained only to take calls / give a complaint number THAT’S IT !!!

Peak summers _ complaints for refrigerators, air – conditioning should be attended in TAT of maximum 24 hours (which is understood). Am sure there is no monitoring or supervision on the complaints that have been logged. The company seems to be concentrating only on the sales target being met.

Moreover, your site does not have any information or escalation matrix for the end user and therefore we are here stuck with some incompetent customer care executive sitting at some corner of Delhi and just attending calls without any end solution to the complaints. Why would such executive be representing your company if they are not trained enough to handle our grievance, they typically are cases of Responsibility without Authority and this does not solve the end user problems.

While I was thinking of changing my air conditioner too to Hitachi, however, this is the first and last product that I have laid my hands on from Hitachi brand.

And yes BY THE WAY WE NEITHER HAVE RECEIVED A CALL FROM YOUR END NOR TECHNICIAN VISIT TILL THIS TIME (1705 hrs of 27th May) while I write this mail to you – this is actually a clear case of “No Concern for the end user”. It makes me strongly to believe that your organisation concentrates only on sales target and is not concerned with complaints being logged and attended to.

I have had to put my work on hold and get on line to just try to talk to someone for an update / status on the repair but with no solution _ this has been happening for the past THREE ENDLESS DAYS now
I was going to buy a Hitachi frig this week for 70, 000 Rs. NOT after all the complaints I see here. I stand educated. Thanks.

I bought a Hitachi fridge in August 2012 ; model R-T350ENDIK, 290 litres. This Hitachi model has a serious design flaw. There is a flimsy plastic tray screwed on at the back. Though this is a frost free fridge, this tray fills up with water every three or four days, Then one has to unscrew it, empty it and screw it on again. We have removed the carpet around the fridge because of this overflow. I have never heard of a frost free fridge which functions like this. The technician we called in June 2013 told me to keep inserting a sponge into the tray and squeezing it out.! ( Yes! he dd!). We said we were dissatisfied with his service..nothing was done. the guarantee expired, we complained on 28th Sept, 30 sept and 4 october and no one is attending to the problem. Hi, This is in reference to our purchase of Hitachi Refrigerator from Bansal Electrovision Pvt Ltd.Gurgaon.Invoice number HI-80 dtd 24-March'14.Product code in the challan RZ440END9 was shown to us with a 3 star rating and one delivered is a 1star rating product-Model # ZG440END1GBK.Dealer, when contacted has been unwilling to speak to us and his employees have used an abusive language.Will never recommend anyone further to purchase anything from the dealer.

We have a 3 door Hitachi Refrigerator Model No. R.S37SVND bearing Sl. No. [protected] and we had a few problems and we had called Hitachi Home & Life Solutions ( India ) Ltd., for service and they had promptly replaced components and repaired the same.
The Service person advised us to take a Preventive service contract so that they can attend to problems free and arrange for parts at cost.
We heard a strange noise inside the fridge and there was no cooling and we had called the authorised Hitachi technician to attend the problem. He checked and removed a component and confirmed that he will arrange for a replacement. After many days of waiting and waiting, now he confirms that he can not arrange the part from anywhere. He says he is helpless and he cant help us to get the fridge repaired.
We even talked to the manager of Hitachi Service and he is neither solving the problem nor helping us with a buy back.
When the OEM service themselves are not able to service their product, where can a customer go. Our money on the fridge is lost and advise us if any third party can help us. We want to take this serious and go to any extent to get justice for the plight we pushed into.

To me also i have brought 2 door paying 65, 000/- it lasted only 6 months, Very poor customer service .I recommend not to buy any product from Hitachi India

I have a Inverter based Hitachi refrigerator model RW720FPND1X-GBK purchased on 1/9/2013 from Kalpana Digital World, Laxmi Nagar, Delhi-92.
The fridge stopped working on 16/8/2015 & a complaint was registered on the same day at the toll free number.
On 19/8/15 service mechanic visited & informed us that the main power supply PCB card has to be replaced costing around Rs.8000/- subject to availability.
I am following up every day for the replacement card but I am told that company has to import one from Thailand as the stocks are not available in India. I am shocked & fail to understand how Hitachi who can sell this model in India for 1.10L a piece do not keep a spare card for replacement. Through this mail I warn the so called Seles Service Set up of Hitachi if the replacement card is not provided in next 24 hours, be prepared to face the heat at the consumer court. Not to mention will also put this feed back on all possible websites of feed back on Hitachi products.

i had purchased 3 door hitachi refrigerator in the month of june 2010 from ace technomart gip mall in noida .The refrigerator was functioning well for initial two years however suddenly it developed snag and stopped functioning and we lodged complaint to hitachi india at their service centre .The tehnician visited our place after 2 days and told us that due to gas leakage and requires refilling and the same was refilled with the applicable charges along with the service charges. After some time the upper compartment of the refrigerator had stopped cooling. We again lodged the complaint. The mechanic visited and informed that the sensor had gone faulty and replaced the same. To my bad luck the refigerator worked for another 3-4 months but again stopped cooling in the rear compartment this time. We followed it up with the technician and this time again he changed the sensor of the rear compartment. We were really unhappy with the performance of the refrigerator and upon asking the hitachi technician were told that it happens and there is nothing to worry about. The refrigerator again stopped cooling after 6 months of technician’s last visit. We had no choice but to call up the technician straight as we saved his no due to regular faults. He came over, checked the refrigerator and informed this time about the gas leakage. We got furious and asked why its happening again n again on which he casually responded that it happens due to close proximity to sewage nullahs etc. He then introduced us to someother technician as ex-hitachi mentioning that this person can and will fill the gas by tomm since he himself was not equipped with necessary tools to carry out the work. The other person came over very next morning and filled the gas and the refigerator started working. This was the fourth time in a year or so that we had to call for a technician and this is the case when the said refrigerator is just 3+ years old. He spent almost 8000/- rupees on its repair since then. After that the refrigerator worked for few months n again developed a snag in its 5th year. We called up the same ex-hitachi technician as we were having his no saved in our mobiles. He came over and tolsd us about the faulty sensor this time again replacing the same. We were anguished but had no choice but to pay for it. I lost the trust on the way technician were repairing it as its not a local product. The latest is that few days back again its cooling on the upper compartment had gone for a toss. I got so angry this time n spoke to the dealer from where the same was purchased. This dealer was shown his helplessness and told me that i should only contact the customer care. The customer care has sent some senior technician who was none but the same who used to visit us initially and quite acquainted with the history of the said refrigerator. He told us about some technical snag with the compressor this time. I got so furious that i asked him to get out since i always found him sort o[censored]nreliable.

Can anyone from hitachi will take this case forward. In just 5+ years it got repaired at least 7-8 times. At the same time we are feeling let down n cheated as we bought hitachi considering it to be the leader in the market. On top, it caused us lot of inconvenience which is beyond repair.

I had also bought one split and one window ac for my residence that also did not last long and i had to dispose them off.

Had no idea that hitachi makes such inferior quality products. The frequent breakdown of the refrigerator has been a nightmare for us.

Today i am forced to send this email as i am finding myself really helpless n have no idea how to get through hitachi team.

Would be grateful if some one from hitachi would assist n repairing my refrigerator at least.

we have purchased a hitachi 3 door refrigerator( R-SG31BPND -GBK- (3 DOOR - 336 LTS) in the month of november. the ice is not formed and the upper two chambers are not cooling.it is not suitable for indian summer. the hitachi service is also bad.
Very bad service. I have just bought a new refrigerator few days back n one of d shelf is already cracked n second one is about to... despite of so many calls nobody came to replace d part. I m really fed up of it... worst service ...worst n worst...very poor performance...god knows when technician will come n replace d part.nobody wants to take responsibility for it...0 star...

Against which you technician visited and said that there is problem in compressor so you need to register a new complaint, so I did the same, then again a new technician came and said that the compressor needs to be changed, the very next day I provide him with all the details require.

Since then he is not responding to my call, now do you understand my refrigerator is not working more than a week and how much problem I am facing because of it and top your representative in not responding to my call

Buying 1 lacs ref and such a poor service provided to me.
