[Resolved]  Sony Ericsson — Service and repairs

I had got the Joy stick of my Sony-Ericsson K750i repaired from a Sony-Ericsson service center in Gurgaon, but after 2 days of that the phone display went white, and when I took the phone back to the service center the manager refused to handle the phone he said that the phone may have got damaged due to the software getting corrupted or some problem in the main board of the phone, how ever he confirmed that the Cap of the Joystick was not fixed properly. The cold response from the the Store manager made me write to the Sony-Ericsson customer service mail id, how ever I did not get any response from them.

This is to inform you all that Sony Ericsson has closed down all its REPAIR SERVICE CENTERS with immediate effect.

It had opened just collection centers in the country which will not provide any service to the customer.

It had been done just to please few companies just for personal benefits of few.

The families of over 1000 members have been effected by this move and also the future of the customers of Sony Ericsson remains questionable.
hi i had bought sony ericsson k850 then 6 months later i had faced display problem & contacted sony ericsson service center they reply to wait for 3weeks as they wont have stock and took warranty of My phone but as on today almost 3 months completed still they are saying to wait as they don't know when the stock comes "ITS AN POOR SERVICE FROM SOMY ERICSSON"

Sony Ericsson — not getting my mobile from the service center in a big city like bengaluru

Hii i have given my W580 i in bangalore mobile service center on Jan .. still i am not getting any proper response to them.. If anyone knows where to contact the corresponding authorised person..pls let me know immediately.. They r almos making my life and my mob mobile very miserable.. i am fed up with them, .. Everyday i am calling them and not getting a proper reply regarding to that ..

Sony Ericsson — Wrong Information provided by the Sony Ericsson

This is a complaint against Sony Ericsson.

Sony Ericsson website shows three service centers in gurgaon but two of them are not doing this service anymore!! Moreover when I contacted the call center first time, they told me they will do it as they are the authorized service center!! When I moved to the service center in MGF Mall, they said they will not do as they are no more associated with Sony Ericsson.

This simply shows there is no coordination and no information gateway among the officials itself.

After all this, I tried to contact a senior person through call center and the executive passed my line to senior named Vikrant and he told one of the service center is no more associated but second one is still going on and he advised me to visit this center in DLF city -2.

But again service center guy told me they have discontinued this service for Sony Ericcson!!

Now i am just hanging up what to do with my non working hand free!!

I m totally disappointed with Sony Ericsson!!

Sony Ericsson Mobile K700i — Erratic Working

I am having problem that the mobile phone goes silent on incoming calls in normal mode. Many times it swithces off automatically even when battery shows full charge.

I have given the phone to authorised service centre Accel Frontline Limited at Chennai twice. Both times they have returned the phone "no trouble found".

I have no option but to throw the phone.

Sony Ericsson — Manufacturing faults in P1i model

Regarding :- Faulty Mobile Handset P1i has been sold by Sony Ericsson having manufacturing defects.


Dear Officers,

I have purchased a brand new mobile handset no. P1i of Sony Ericsson on 11th Aug. 2008, by paying a hard earned sum of Rs. 17, 417/-

But when I start using the hand set I have found that there are two serious security threatning problems in the handset.

!. The key pad locked handset automatically gets unlocked whenever it has been kept on charging. It is a major security threat to me as I had stored many confidential files/data in my handset. At the time the handset kept on charging anybody could operate each and every function of the handset. I couldn't get the surety that nobody could use my phone even it is on locked mode.

2. The phone enables last dialled no.'s dialling even its keypad has been locked through the Blue tooth earpiece as many times as one could wish. Anybody could make/dial the last dialled no. from my phone and could get my last dialled no.'s detail if he/she succeeds to establish a Blue tooth connection with my handset. I am not sure enough that if I have locked my handset and nobody could misuse it.


And another problem which belongs to the efficient ussage of handset's functioning of its front camera features.

3. I am unable to operate the front camera of the phone in standby mode means I can't take/shoot any pictures or video from handset's front camera.


As a valuable customer to the Company I have called the customer care department over phone (on 19th Nov.2008 Se 1002/2717) and mails (18th Nov.2008), [P1i Case No. 72784056, SE 1002/2717 dtd. 19/11/08, 72996154, 73008800, 73012650, 73012651, 73012657] And when they have intimated/suggested me to got the software upgraded, I have gone to their Authorized Paschim Vihar Service Centre and get it done even I am not interested/willing to get my brand new handset into the hands of mechanics or technicians. But the problems couldn't be rectified/resolved by them even they have upgraded the handset's software through the Company's website itself.

Now more than two months has been passed since I had registered my complaints with Sony Ericsson, I am feeling like being cheated by the Company by selling a defected handset to me And even not providing any satisfactory response/solution to me.


The Company has released their P1i model in the market without performing a reasonable R&D on it. I am afraid to comment but it's my doubt that all the models of P1i model sold by the Company are not functioning properly.

With deep regret i am writing u this mail.I have bought sony ericsson mobile with 2 years warranty plus paid rs. 600/- extra for its complete wear & tear loss, from Mobile Store, Noida, Shopprix mall, six months back, now it's flip cover is damaged and i went to mobile shop, where i have been told that this is a mobile accessory(flip) and is not covered in warranty.I HAVE CHECKED FROM SONY ERICCSON CUSTOEM CARE, AND GOT THE CONFIRMATION THAT FLIP IN THIS MODEL IS PART OF MOBILE AND NOT A ACCESSORY

I also have the same problem. But these airtel guys are Dogs. They do nothing. Its service provider. IDEA was really good.
i went 2 sony ericsson customer care, the executive did nt know how to deal wth customers, there behaviour is not eco-friendly, they misbehaving me, n when argue with them about my problem, finally they refuse to take the handsets, and says this outlet is closed, then could not sort ur handset problem, do whatever want 2 do.

i hope the concerned authority will give due attentiuon towards this, n take action these kind of customer services immediatley.

i bought a Sony k-530i mobile 6 months back. there was some problem with the keypads so i gave it to the service center in the working condition. the next morning they called me up and said that there is a problem with the motherboard and they need 25 days to repair it. so i asked them that i gave them the mobile in a working condition so how come there is problem with the mother board overnight. but they didn't responded to the query. so what i did next was i contacted the main support center(Bangalore[protected] and inquired about it and they asked me for 48 hours for the respond which i gave them. the next time i called them they said me that i have to go for the motherboard replacement. then i asked them if i have to go for the motherboard replacement why wont i go for the full replacement of the mobile. and i asked or it. as per what they have said me there is a provision for the full replacement. so i asked what are the conditions for it.so they said me if the handset cant be repaired then they go for full replacement. so being a computer science student i asked them that if you are changing the motherboard that means you are not able to solve the problem so you are going for it. so they replied me that there are problems which exists even after the motherboard is changed that means the problem is with the body. are they joking with me? replacing a motherboard means they don't have any option so they are going for it. then way not to replace the full handset if they have a provision for it as per they have said and i have recorded their conversation regarding this. i spoke to ajay, nafish, and harish regarding this and all contradicted with each other. so what should i do now? i demanded them a seal pack mobile for replacement. i am a student staying far away from my parents and mobile is the only means of communication between me and my parents and i cant afford to buy a new mobile and as i have already mentioned i am a student, i cant bunk my classes and go to customer center again and again..please give me a permanent solution to it.
