[Resolved]  Tata Sky — Mental harrassment

I have never been a tata-sky customer. I have never subscribed to their services. Still i keep on receiving messages from the company (Ta-tatasky or tm-tatasky) about pending payment dues, recharging remenders, etc. On my personal mobile number. I hope this is total violation of one's privacy and results to mental harrassment.

I recently installed a new HD (MDU) connection Dt. 29 Oct. 2015 not to mention they did not even use the minimum 10m wire instead used my earlier disctv connection to connect the central disc and I paid Rs.2, 500 for the same however I only have a receipt of Rs. 1, 686. Inspite of all my emails to "[protected]@tatasky.com" i have only received calls (no emails) stating sickening false information. They are neither ready to part with any information they say I have provided to them to the extend the Subscriber copy I have with me they disown it.

This is my first business with the Tata's and have been shock for cheating me and pathetic replies given. My money is small but the conduct of the Tata's is very very cheap.

Tata Sky is pathetic. They have no clue as to what it takes to deal with customers. Their agents are abusive and rude, the call centre people as just a bunch of clueless people. Absolutely disappointing and it is really sad to see that the name TATA is associated with a service so bad.

If the CEO Hirat Nagpal is reading this post. he'd better do something

I raised an online order for a new connection and it is 2 weeks now and absolutely no sign of anyone turning up for installation

I am a tatasky d2h subscriber and the subscriber id is[protected].

I want your attention in the following matters:
I have shifted my location in Delhi from Motibagh to Dwarka. Shifting was going on during end of November and beginning of December 2015. Due date of my connection recharge was 01 Dec 2015. I have received many calls to recharge my account. I told your associates regarding the relocation, and assured him that accordingly I will recharge my account once the shifting process is over. To which your associate replied that even if the recharge is done by you now, there would not be any problem since the deductions will start once the process of re-installation by us is finished.
On 25.12.2015, I contacted tatasky customer care and requested for the relocation. Being a working couple, I also requested that visit of technician should be on Saturday i.e. 26.12.2015, preferably between 10.00 to 11.00 am.
Saturday I kept on waiting, but none visited my house. I again called customer care and asked regarding the status of my request. Although the person on other side assured me that the technician would definitely visit the same day, I received a call from technician on Sunday i.e. 27.12.2015. He promised to visit us on same day around 5.00 pm. I kept all my pending jobs on hold and waited for him the whole day. Then he called me around 6.30 pm and asked me whether he should come because he was able to come around 7.00 pm. After waiting so long, I have already left home due to personal work and then I asked him not to visit then.
In between, due to positive confirmation regarding the visit of technician on Saturday, I recharged my account with an amount of Rs.2000.00. It is very interesting to tell you that my deductions are started the very same moment as per the monthly subscription and my connection is still not ON.
I called customer care again on Monday in order to complaint against all this non sense, I also talked one of the senior associate and again requested the technician visit on coming Saturday i.e. 02.01.2016 on 10.00 am. She also promised me the same. I also called on Friday (01.01.2016) to remind your team. Very bad on your part, none visited my house this time too. Again I called costumer care, again I talked one senior official, but all in vain.

Now, this is Saturday (02.01.2016), time is 14.50 hrs still no response from your side. I am waiting at my place with all my jobs pending.
I think Tata Sky has the most horrid customer complaint desk. 6 days ago my Tata Sky connection stopped working and I called the Tata Sky customer care. The first day they send across a technician who came and said that he did not know what the fault was. So I called the customer care again to send across a better technician. This new guys could also not identify the fault forget resolving it. Now for past 3 days I have been making calls to Tata Sky for a technician who has still not come across. So I am stuck with 2 Mega Annual packs on my TV sets and 2 HD set top boxes which are of no use. I wouldnt recommend this service to anyone.

I have been getting blank channels (at least 10-15 channels) since more than one month and I made a complain on 5th Jan 2016 and got a message that service engineer will be visiting on 7th Jan between 17:10-17:50.
7th Jan morning I got a call from service engineer about the location and the moment I guided him my house location he cut the phone. Later when I contacted him he told he will not visit and someone else would be visiting. From that day till now everyday one service engineer calls me and asked me the address and then don't turn up.
If this is the case I want my one year subscription money refund and terminate the tatasky connection. I am totally disappointed with tatasky service and customer care. Customer care is very unresponsive and doesn't worth to have tatasky at all. I don't want to waste my money and time to follow up on this further.

Kindly take this as my formal email for asking refund of my One year subscription money and terminate the connection.

I called call centre and they say charges cannot be reversed.
Is this not an open loot and this is not an isolated incident.
The reputation of Tata group of being ethical is being demolished by Tatasky call centre which is like a black hole where one gets sucked in and lost.
My rating is a well deserved Zero Star. Pl incorporate this in rating.

Some few years back as per request of local representative HD box was installed. After that I found that monthly subscription was too high to maintain. Moreover it's does not function all of certain reason best known to Tatasky. Every time technicians visiting my place and twisting ( Which remind me old fashion antenna system) disc and saying now there will be no problem. Again after some days same thing repeats. Caption showing because of bad weather...but most of the time weather are clear but at the same time my other normal connections are working perfectly alright . Lastly I requested Tatasky people to discontinue HD service and connect all normal service and adjust the charge accordingly. But they are saying it is not possible. Now if it is not possible then I like to surrender Tatasky facility and requesting them to take back all belongings and return my balance money.

I have been using Tata sky for almost last 2 years, but am really disappointed with your service. the set top box issue started about 2 months back when the box would suddenly shut down completely and then restart again after 2 - 3 days, no resolution provided. this happened 2 - 3 times. i was only informed the the box was faulty. last week again the box shut down completely, your person came and checked and informed that the box needs to be changed. As promised he did not turn up the next day, after calling the call centre several times, i was every time informed that there is no stock of HD boxes. Your Technician came to change the box after 5 days . For this i was charges 700 Rs. Now after only 1 day there is no signal, the signal keeps coming and going at regular intervals. Today the technician came cut some wire and said there should not be any problem. but only after 1 hour it started again. Your technicians work only from 9 am to 5 pm.

So we have to bear the loses. I am very disappointed with Tata Sky. After paying premium charges for the entire year of about 7000 + in advance, this is the service i get. Please dont tell me no new connections were issued in the past week. Awaiting your reply.

The technicians of tatasky are just hopeless.
A complaint was already registered (WO: N4AG2FM)regarding non availabilty of service.This was referred to a technician.As we stay in Kharghar, Navi Mumbai, we called up the technician in Kharghar.As there is no one at home during the day time, we requested them to come after 5.00pm, for which they were not ready.
They sent a FALSE REPORT to tatasky that the issue cannot be resolved because of construction work going on in the complex and consequently our work order gets cancelled.
They have not met us AT ALL.
The issue still remains unresolved.

I am very sorry to lodge this detail complain about the harassment due to the followings incidence in last one year.
1- My TV is not getting any news channel signal since last one week and I have lodged complain at [protected] on 11/3/16 first time there after three times more till 15/3/16 but service agent from Panel new Mumbai awaited so far. Daily they ask residence address and ask me to wait for technician and thereafter no body reports. Since one technician last time asked me that your dish is old so next whenever signal problem comes you complain for replacement of dish so this time specifically I mentioned the details also for replacement. Technician from panvel[protected] when contacted for repair I gave detail they were of the view that customer (I) bring dish and take replacement from their shop.Evenafter my request to rectify signal not attended so far
2- Last year, I was having connection for one extra TV. But due to some fault in cable / box, I could not get signal for about six month in second tv though payment was made for both tv in advance. Not only this, my TV Soni brave which was working nicely got its screen some wrinkle during chickpea of fault and its repair process by technician sent from tat sky. Repair of TV wrinkles is out of questions as it may cost 10-12 thousands even they have not compensated for not viewing of second to for about 5-6 months.
This is important for higher ups to know about the grievances of consumers for further necessary action

I want to close my multi tv connection but they are saying we can't close it because the connection which i want to close that one is primary and primary connection can't be close.
Second option they are saying swap the primary box to secondery and secondary box to primary in that condtion my one year free subcription for hd channel will be lost which i got in offer for purchasing a new hd set of box.

This has not been attended for problem in viewing of any news channel in addition to many other channels (I just able to see a few Hindi entertainment channel). A total of six times Tata sky has been approached for repair of this problem since 11/03/2016 but of no avail.
Authorities from Tata sky may take it seriously for needful action and don't spoil the name of company.
