[Resolved]  Standard Chartered Bank — Not closing credit card account

Have opened Standard Charted bank account as salary account on June 2010. Also recieved a platinum credit card after a month. I was a regularly paying credit card bills without defaulting any month. One day a female executive called from the bank and told about an offer. The offer includes discount coupons of many restaurants/places and can be activated with a one time payment. I agreed as it was a one time payment and received the card and coupons. After realizing that the offer is of not much use i planned to close this card. Called customer care and requested to close the account on 30,December 2010 (Ref: 03/11/027752 /UK/CR). I also received a confirmation SMS to confirm. So i sent a confirmation SMS to close this account on 02/01/2011.

I would expect to close this account in a month's time. Meanwhile due to a wrong PIN issued in HDFC ATM in office premises,the card was withheld in the ATM machine. So i had also opened a request to issue a new debit card. The card was delivered only after a month and the problem is i not only received the debit card but also the card i had requested them to close it. I had so many calls with a female executive from the bank.. She explained me that it's a loss to me if i close the account and she kept on hesitating to close the card even though i stubbornly asked her to close it even it's a loss for me as i had not availed any single offer.

My only question is Why did the bank not willing to close my card and it's the request i raised on Dec 2010, and till June 2011 they hesitated to close it. Is it a proper way of customer care. So again i placed a request to close it (Ref No: 05/11/075849 KMM6777114I15977L0KM). I wanted a written proof this time, so i sent customer care an email, but no response from anyone. Later on May 24th, i got a mail from hariharan.venkataramaniyer sent a mail that i have defaults in not paying the minimum due. I had so many frustating calls from the bank in which i continuously asked them to close the card, but they dragged me from Jan 2011 to May 2011. As a customer would you expect to pay for more than 6 months after raising a request to close the card? Why should one pay??

This can be tracked in calls if it was recorded for training purpose. I have given the reference numbers and dates of the requests. It's highly irritating with these people in Standard Charted and now they have around Rs.9000 as outstanding amount for me. Can you please help from these money frauds.

I am having a credit card of axis bank, I had swap it around 18/02/2008 but till today I won't received any statement from your bank.

Pls send credit card statement so that I will pay the amount and there is no further complication between us.

Standard Chartered — Not got Confirmation Call

Hi,

I have given my full proof, with salary slips . I had got the a call from some female asking for credit card. I had given my documents, she had sent an executive to collect my salary slip and details . That fellow told me to sign on the form and when i asked about filling the details, he told mam will cal and get the details and she will only fill up . But till now i didnt get any call from any one, it was one month earlier i had given all this documents . I have taken the number of executive, i had called him several times rearding this . He will tell me that he will update me once he goes to office and if i call again he will cut my call. This is very disgusting .I want to know the status of my application . I can give the executives number -- it was [protected]

Standard Chartered Bank — PF withheld

The MNC bank is not sending my Provident fund chq.inspite of the documents submitted more than 2 months back.

Standard Chartered Bank Credit Card — 1 year loss of card, yet no new card

Dear Team,

Please note that I have lost my Titanium Credit Card in Jan 2009. Since then I have been following up to get a new card but in vain. I have sent scanned copies, fax and hard copies of my residence proof and address proof. However, no new card has been issued till date.

I am worried because of te follwin reasons:

1) There is an excess amount paid by me to the card on Rs.4285.82/-, which i need to get from the bank.
2) In the terms and conditions it is written that if the card is not used for 12 months an amount of Rs. 250/- will be charged.

I am in grievance for almost a year now and am wholly frustrated. please look into the closure as i wish to close my card with SC Bank and wish to get my deposited money back. I have been under pain for quite soem time now.

In my last few interactions, I was confirmed by your team tht my address has been updated in their records and i will be intimated shortly on what needs to be done next. Ironically, months have gone by in the meantime and I realise that I have again been folled by your company.

Please Close the case immediately, else I would be forced to carry my grievance to the higher levels.

Standard Chartered Bank — Credit card not accept

I have been applied for standard chartered bank credit card on[protected].At that time those people said that it will be processed with in 15 days. But till now I don't know the status of the application, regarding this issue I made so many calls to them but they do not respond well. and.I had completed your foumalities like (physical verification done on my home and i had submited all requered document and also telecalling verification done and they people called me you will get your card within 2-3 working days but till that time i had not got card and as well as there is no information about card status when i called for custcare then they told me that there is no status about the same and told to raised a comp your side but i had been 3 and 4 time raised comp for the same so i am very unhappy for your ser
so plz revert me what is the status about this i will be thankful for you ...
