Sir I have booked a ticket on the irctc portal on 13/08/2017 from vadodara to kottayam in sleeper class for my journey on 20/08/2017. I got a waitlisted ticket for that. On 20/08/2017, when the chart was prepared my waiting list was not cleared and i was unable to travel with that ticket as it got automatically cancelled by irctc, on account of their waitlist policy. My complaint is that i am not wilfully cancelling my travel, and irctc according to their policy has automatically cancelled the ticket, that cancellation action done is totally not with my concern. And also the irctc site did not provide me any vikalp option for my ticket booked. Now they have deducted 60rs from me as cancellation charge for untraveled and unwillfully cancelled ticket, which i believe should not be charged from the customer for what is my fault if railway as no ability to provide enough seating to all its passenger. If so they should remove the wait list option. Otherwise accommodate every passenger who is willing to travel but has a waitlist/rac ticket with him, by adding 1 or 2 extra coaches.
