[Resolved]  Irctc — Extra Deduction on Cancellation of E-Ticket.

Dear sir/madam, <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> This is with reference to the cancellation of e-ticket, As per the IRCTC rules there should have been a deduction of Rs. 90 if the cancelation is done in more than 24 hours for 3Tire AC. But instead 25 % of the charge was deducted when the ticket was cancelled even when the cancellation was done less than 24 hrs. Details of the ticket is as follows: Name: Arpita Biswas Age: 28 yrs. PNR: [protected] Train : Amravati Express (18048) Below mentioned is the clause for Refund policy- Cancellation before Chart Preparation:-All refund will be processed as per Extant Railway Rules: Cancellation Charges:-The amount deducted is based on the time of cancellation and the status of your ticket. Detailed explanations are given below:-For cancellation of confirmed tickets more than one day in advance of the scheduled departure of the train, excluding the date of journey, the minimum cancellation charges based on the class of travel as follows:-Flat Cancellation charges per passengerClass of your ticketRs.120/-AC First/Executive ClassRs.100/-First Class/AC 2 TierRs.90/-AC Chair Car/AC 3Tier/AC 3 EconomyRs.60/-Sleeper ClassRs.30/-Second Class For cancellation of confirmed tickets less than 24 hrs and upto four hours before the scheduled departure of the train, the cancellation charges will be 25% of the total fare paid by you, subject to flat minimum cancellation charges for each class.For cancellation of confirmed tickets less than four hours before the scheduled departure of the train and upto the prescribed time limits as mentioned below, after actual departure of the train, the cancellation charges will be 50% of the fare paid by you, subject to flat minimum cancellation charges for each class.
