[Resolved] Irctc — No refund of AC-2 tier tickets | |||
I had booked an AC-2 ticket from Ahmedabad to Udaipur (ADIJ-UDZ) in Train: 19944. My date of journey was[protected]. On reaching the platform on the date of journey, I was told by the railway staff that there would be no AC coach in the train till December and the same has been informed to IRCTC as well but they keep on selling the AC tickets. The railway staff didn't care to tell me that which coach I have been assigned. After going through a number of lists outside the coaches, I found my name on one of the sleeper coaches and boarded the train. When the TTE came, I along with some other passengers expressed our problem to him and he assured us that the difference in the fare (700(AC fare) - 200 (Sleeper fare) = 500) would be automatically credited to my account but till now, I have not received any money yet. If my issue is not solved here, I would be moving to consumer court against IRCTC as this is not just about the fare difference, I also fell sick as I did not have any blanket to cover myself and had to take a leave of 3 days from my office.
