There doesn't seems to be any issue with the site..If there is an issue with the site then how come the available tickets are coming down drastically..Clearly this shows the fellow citizens rights are looted by some one in irctc...
Probably someone in IRCTC is misusing their power...Please notify this to railway minister..

i am facing this issue from last few days for takkal ticket. Money is debited, but ticket is not booked From May 2015 onwards.

I m unable to Book any tatkal for the past few days. Always I am getting this error.

IRCTC please fix the bug ASAP. There is no meaning in having a online option for Tatkal is this error is still present.

This site is currently unreachable issue for past one week. still action not taken. IRCTC website hacked during tatkal hours.

I put mail to them twice they are replying like we have provided this one that one.. This reply doesn't make me solution...

We would like to inform you that there is heavy rush on the website due to opening of Tatkal Booking and Advance Reservation Booking and summer season etc.Some users faces difficulty in getting the website as our connection gets full. To overcome these constraints, steps like database upgradation, addition of more servers and increased Internet Bandwidth have been taken. The website availability has improved considerably following these steps.Constant monitoring of website availability is done to address any issues in this regard.We have also taken certain concrete steps to discourage agent booking.Agents are not allowed to book the tickets through website between
8.00am-12.00 am.Any user can book only two tickets from one userid during this period.Besides this our technical team continuously monitoring the daily booking to curb the agent activity.All these efforts are taken just

i think this error they put purposely, so that they will get Premium Tatkal (for more amount) all are buggers ( this is like making ticket black in older cinema house) but this is official...

IRCTC is cheating with normal consumer... I am also getting same error... still I was continuously trying and once get success taht time Tatkal Quote was full with WL3.


If i give to any agent they are surely booking ticket so there should be some link between agents and railway.

mujhe lagta hai ye sale dalaalo se mile huye hote hain. 10 baje se 10:05 tak yahi tamasha hota hai iska.jaise hi sare ticket book ho jaate hai tan khulna shuru ho jata hai..main 6 din se try kar raha hun roj ye hi problem.agar salo tum se website manage nahi ho pa raha hai to surrender kar do. bc hazaaro site aaise hai jin pe millions ek time pe login hote hai fir bhi unka server down nahi hota.ye hi eklaute aise hain jinki... jaati hai.aur to aur mc's me etna attitude bhara hota hai agar site down ho jata hai to na hi iski official announcement karte hain aur na hi press release karte hain. idhar 2-3 dino jaise hi 10 bajta hai, maintnace activity ka error message aa raha hai..sale logo ko 10 baje hi maintnace karna hota hai..

I am getting the same error, since past three days.
Trying to talk to irctc customer care but they said it's due to server overload. Not providing any solution or still not consider this as a problem, they said it's not a technical issue.

Don't know how to book a Tatkal ticket now.

Dear customers

As for bribe that they have got from their agents they actually block customers to book any ticket.

This problem will be there until govt. Do not increase the number of coaches or frequency on the routes.

You will only be able to book tickets when any seat is left behind after all required tickets has been booked by agents or try to book tickets after this wedding season problem will be removed. But as of now only solution is an agent of irctc or Airways.
Do not bother to irctc as you have learned this from the movie Gabbar is Back ''Is desh ka kuch nhi ho skta so that is true somewhere''

i mean, m trying since last 2 weeks, n this keep on coming on my screen untill tatkal quota gets over...NOW Today i will go to AGENT for booking the ticket. M sure he will charge Rs.400-600 (totally depending upon him) per person which is the same rate what INDIAN RAILWAY is charging for the FULL JOURNEY PER PERSON including TATKAL charges for SLEEPER

I think INDIAN RAILWAY want us to go to AGENTS, They r just trying to eliminate AGENTS on paper and not in reality

It has started coming when i book tatkal ticket. its been a regular case for now. that is happens like this. as a common people we are not able to book a tatakl ticket in a legible manner.

facing many error which booking the tatkal ticket

When I am trying to book the tatkal ticket, getting the error message : "This site is currently unreachable. Please try after some time". This error is frequent and we can't proceed any more till all the seats are filled, so we end up without booking. I am seeing this from last few days, probable a week. Where as previously this was not the case. There were no such errors and site was very smooth and faster in bookings.
