I bought 500gm lion dates from Nilgiri supermarket, brigade road, Bangalore on may 25th 2014. It is written on the container manufacturing date march 2014. Expiry date within 6 months. Just 2 weeks before I opened the container there are many live insects inside....

Hi, Yesterday night (8th March, 2014) i bought Lion deseeded dates box (packed and batch no: 24 FEB 14/0712) from a grocery store ( Vijaya Laxmi super market, Plot no 303, Allapur, hyderabad-18). After i open the sealed box, i found its full of insects (beetles). I was shocked to see insects inside the box as I have been buying lion dates for a long time (doctor suggested for my mother). I bought one lion dates pack of 250 grams (deseeded) manufactured on 1/03/2013.in that box we found some larvas.

i called their custome care no and area sales manager no they came to me tried to give 100 rs bribe for not to raise this issue.

I purchased a packet of lion dates from Triveni Super Market, Statue Trivandrum. When I opened the packet and took it for eating I got the body of a big dead fly from it. I doubt the cleanliness and the standards followed by the company.

This brand of dates ia very popular and a lot of people trust their produts in Kerala. So I think they need to keep maintain the cleanliness of their product...
