Dear Sir/Madam,
I am a Research Scholar in IIT Kanpur, India. Sometimes back, I purchased a Samsung mobile. After 1 month, I started facing problems in this mobile. The mobile phone’s sound became lower. The phone was switching off automatically. I complained Samsung service centre about this. But they didn’t entertain this kind of problem and asked for extra charge if I wanted the phone to get repaired by them. But I didn’t pay them as my phone was under warranty and thus my phone didn’t get repaired. But some 1 month ago, the phone got a new problem that at the screen, the display is not coming but other functions like incoming and outgoing call service etc. is working smoothly. When this time, I went to the Samsung service centre, they again asked for extra charge for the phone to get repaired by pretending that it is due to moisture problem while I can surely say the mobile doesn’t have any moisture content in it. They told me that I would have to pay Rs. 2700 if I wanted to get the mobile repaired at the service centre while the mobile’s cost is itself Rs. 3250 and it has been just 5 months since I purchased it i.e. the mobile is in complete warranty. Still, the Samsung service centre is asking for repair charge for the phone to get repaired.
I am a very busy man working as a research scholar at one of the best research institution of world i.e. IIT Kanpur and Samsung’s this kind of responses have really frustrated me. Here in IIT Kanpur, I have a lot of friends who use Samsung mobiles but now with Samsung’s such a kind of service, they are saying that they will never purchase any Samsung product in their life. In other companies (like Nokia), the service is very good but Samsung company asks for extra charges for repairing the product already covered under warranty. What kind of service is it? I am thinking of taking this complaint to consumer court in spite of my busy schedule. But, I once again want to request to please repair my mobile without any charges as soon as possible as I am having a lot of problem without the mobile. My Samsung mobile’s details are given below:

I bought a new samsung mobile from a Samsung authorised dealer. It have faced numerous defaults such as it gets hanged, the call history gets tampered automatically, the call gets diverted to somebody else while calling, and the sound is very low. I have submitted it in the service center but its taking them a huge amount of time for them> I guess they dont have the proper software also . They are not even replacing the mobile niether refunding me the amount as its only 1 month ago I borrowed it .

Samsung — Mobile repair

Dear sir,
My samsung mobile SGHi450 has been causing a lot of problems and now wen i visited the service center they told water had logged in the mobile and it had some software problem which if repaired my spoil the mobile..n the water logged mobile cant be repaired under warrenty period you will hav to pay extra money for the repair ..before giving my mobile for a service check it was working almost properly but now after checking it my cell phone wont even start!!!n the samsung authorities say its not their fault
please help..

i was going to repair my mobile in samsung care centre jhansi (up) branch due to display problems in mobile. then they return me mobile after 45 days. now my mobile demaged totaly camera not working and mobile not changing. and voice quality of music player and mobile totaly damaged.

Samsung — PHONE WARRANTY BUT HE WANT CHARGES

I am a chemical engg. student studing in Mumbai, 3 months ago I purchased a good handset under my budget (S3500).so i was actually thankful to samsung for providing such good value for money.
my friend constantly made a point for purchasing Nokia phone for the resale value and service they provide, but than i though that its just a myth in minds of people that only Nokia provide good service.
the major difference for me to buy Samsung was the 'value for money'
as it was my first handset of my life for which I collected money since one and half year
so i was happy with the features but the happiness was not long lasting
with in 3 months my cell stopped working completly.(some beltproblem) I went to service centre, my dealer assured my that i will get it repaired freee of cost.but service centre incharge estimated the cost of 5000 rs .I asked him are u joking the cell cost 6700 rs, his reply was cant help it in less than that.I tried calling service centre many time but no one turned up, so now i am just a helpless guy cursing the day I purchased samsung cell phone
so called 'value for money'
dont worry people like us cant go to consumer court because my parents are not literate enough and I dont have that much time and guts
but please do something.
6700rs didnt matter to big multinational like yours but for us we know how much it was.

Samsung Mobile — Frustrated with Samsung

I bought an Samsung SCH-S379 handset on 18th July 2009 for my wife to be gifted. Within two months, it hstarted creating some problem in charging. being into warranty period it was submitted to authorised samsung centre named "CEE EMM Services", Sector 27, Noida. Regret to share/submit that till today even after 5 month, despite many phone calls/visits/emails/reminder letters/chasing so kany people nothing has happend. Even today, no body in samsung service network is able to reply me confidently as to by when it is going to be resolved. I had tough time roaming around service centre, contacting so many people but resulting into frustation and inconvinience. Despite assurance from Samsung post filing complaint at service help line and service help line email, Samsung did nothing. Neith I have phone repaired not have I received refund.

My earnest request to this forum if someone can help.

I can guarantee on behalf of Samsung that nothing can be done about your mobile apart from throwing it in the dustbin. Once you've purchased a Samsung product, you'll have to pay the price of committing that mistake. So, please forget about it ever getting repaired.

Samsung Mobile — Display

I had purchased the Samsung S3500 handset before 7 months. I the day I purchsed the mobile it had showed the problem of Battery Backup having a backup of hardly 3 hrs. I was informed that this this not company fault. What a great answer. The Samsung employee are not suppose to give such a foolish answer to the consumer rather than solving the problem.

One other issue is that the screen is not working properly. From last 20 day I am contineously following for this problem and I am getting the reply that come in the next week but form last 3 weeks the problem has not solved.

If the service center are not helping us to solve the issues what the hell they are doing and why company is not taking any action on them. Once the the product is sold, your resposibility over or what???

I need promt action from you

The samsung service in BTM is worst. i bought very basic mobile of a samsung mobile C160 in September 2008. In January 2009, it started hanging while the cell is being used. I have been to Samsung service in BTM to fix the problem. They took the mobile for 10 days to fix the problem. Again the same problem starts. Again they said that they fixed. However, it same problem is there. The manager is a stupid man. He boasts as if they has replaced the circut, loaded software and parts. The samsung service in BTM is really spoiling the image of the samsung brand. I would say they should replace the manager to bring the real colour of samsung service.

Samsung — WITHIN WARRANTY REPAIRING CHARGES

samsung authorised service centre at laxminagar VASHNAVI, opp to radhu place are doing personal business in name of samsung as they are charging[protected] on each samsung phone they receive. In my 30mins visit to this center, the lady gave 8 (out of 10) estimated quotation for repairing samsung phone which are already in warrantee period in name of water entrance. My case was the same and was asked to pay Rs.2200 for water entrance in S3500. Although I have got my phone repaired in another service center free of cost within warantee period.

I request the concern to please check this out and stop this kind of malpractices by authorised persons

Here is your customer. OH sorry here is your vey sad & unhappy customer.
I'll tell you whole story. I think you will enjoy it.
One year before i had strong belief in handset of samsung. Previously i was using NOKIA handset.
I want to buy handset for lady to whom i love so much and to whom i am going to marry.
Then i decided to buy samsung handset because i heard that the clearity of pictures and sound that samsung mobile have that is incredible.
So i gone to buy samsung S3500 on the date 17/11/2009 (plz. see the attachment1 -bill of handset) from SURAT, GUJARAT.
Now the story begins. In one month, the HANDSFREE of the mobile prayed me "please don't use me, please don't use me, i am
typical handsfree from samsung company. I mmmmean there was no sound from one of the ear plug of handsfree. I said to my self its ok i will replace it.
Then in the period of THREE months suddenly the DISPLAY of the mobile gone away, completely blank for three days.
After three days it suddenly appears. I went to CUSTOMER SERVICE of SURAT. After one hour of long wait i got the OPPORTUNITY to tell
the problem to your CREW. As i gave the handset in his hand he started to open it without my permission to open the spare part.
He changed the belt of the mobile. I asked the man what if the same problem ocuured in future. He rudely told me that " ABHI PROBLEM AAYA TO NAHI HE NA"!!!!! I suprised what kind of people that samsung have hired. I said O.K.
The twist is here now again the same problem i am facing. The display gone, blur image, less battery backup.........
Again i went to CUSTOMER SERVICE, History repeated again. That waiting for long to attaint by your service man. I told him the same story. He asked me to leave the mobile for two days under observation. I asked him to REPLACE the handset. He denaided to replace. But he was reddy to repair it. I denaided his offer and asked him what if the same problem will occured in future? I mean when the WARENTY period overs. I told him then i have to pay for the spares and service. He was speech less.
Do you know how i am feeling? See the ATTACHMENT 2 and 3.....
Hey SAMSUNG is very repputed company. This kind of incidences spoils the image of company. SAMSUNG is not selling bloody CHINA MOBILE. You tell me will i sujjest to any of my friends to buy samsung mobile?
You should understand the term called "CUSTOMER SATISFACTION". Please see the vedio in ATTACHMENT 4 and photographs in subsequent ATTACHMENTS.

Samsung Mobile — not provide the service in time

after 4 months purchase it defected so i gave to authorise service centre at bhubaneswar but it will be complited 2 monts on 16.9.10 till date they can not hand over to me . i have gone 8/10 times and i ve proof of 3 times regarding unable to delivery i.e. they have written in job sheet of repair. now i am staying farway from service centre.
