[Resolved]  Spring Hills Holiday Resort — Fake Promises

Hi, I received a call from Spring Hills Holiday Resort saying that they will provide me the holiday voucher for Lavasa and for that I need to attend to their 45min presentation. I also received the location details of Pune. Suzzane (sales executive)They explained me how the company grows in the past and have diversified business. They have tie up with DAE. They have started their own resport in Near Indai LawnsLavasa Link Road, Mukaiwadi, Pirangut post, Mulshi Taluka Pune: 411 108, Maharashtra, India. Me and my wife attended the presentation at below address. Spring Hills Holidays Resort, Above Mufti Showroom, Opp Reebok Showroom & Dena Bank, MG Road, Pune. They gave me many holiday package options. But I straight away said no as they were expensive and I could hardly afford those packages. When I was ready to leave, Shalini (manager) gave me an offer of 30 days holiday package (21 days + 9 days bonus) for 15000 INR to which I thought was a good deal. They assured me that if I am not satisfied they will straight away refund my money. They said they have affiliations with many hotels and resorts and all the DAE partners. I can choose any options and go for holiday. They said they will give me 0% interest EMI option on my Credit card. After the payment, this transaction was not converted into EMIs and I was charged with interest every month. They said they are nearing closing time so they quickly got the documents ready and didn’t gave me a change to read through it. I did not receive any list of affiliates as promised by them. I called them up to find out their affiliates in Goa. They gave me an option but said I’ll have to pay 2200 as utility charges in that resort. At the time of presentation, they told me about the Utility charges/per day will be 1000. Their utility charge was as high as actual tariff of a room. When I tried booking a room in the same resort directly (without going through Spring hills) I was offered the room for lesser amount then what was quoted by Spring hills as utility charges. Then I understood that I am not getting any benefits from this holiday package offered by Spring Hills Holiday Resorts. They had also told me that I can go on a holiday at any DAE partner properties. They did not inform me that if I want to opt for any DAE property then I have to stay there for 7 days mandatorily after paying admin fees for 7 days. After 2 weeks from getting this membership I called them up to give me refund. At first they said they do not give refund and then they didn’t give me any clear answer and then I wrote a mail to them explaining everything. They said they will send this refund request to their head office and will revert me back. But they never reverted. I called their customer care many times. I spoke to their executive (Jennifer – [protected]). She said she will get this done and inform me when the refund cheque is ready. Since then I have been following up with her but every time I call her she says she has not received the cheque and makes another commitment that I shall receive refund cheque by end of this month and so on. When I ask her to hand over the phone to her manager/senior she never gave the phone to anyone saying no seniors are present at the moment and she was also not ready to share any contact details of her managers. She is not letting me to talk to any of her managers and I don’t have any contact details. I had requested refund on 13th July 2013 and still I haven’t received my refund cheque. Till now I have paid interest on the money that I paid using credit card. I have all her responses to email as a proof for all the promises that she had made on behalf of her company Spring Hills Holiday Resort. I call her almost every alternate week but all I get is false commitments. My membership id is 483 which is on my wife’s name Dipal Bhavik Dodhia. There are many complaints of this type on internet against Spring Hills holiday Resort which suggests that they are a fraud company. I want my money back from them and also the interests which I have paid to the bank. I hope Akosha team will help me resolve this issue. Thanks, Bhavik

Last Year in Jul'2013, I received a call from Spring Hills Holiday Resort, stating that I have won a holiday voucher for Lavasa, to get eligible and collect the voucher, I need to attend to their 45min promotional presentation along with my wife at their Malad Office.

Me and my wife attended the presentation at their Malad representative office :Spring Hills Holidays Resort, 2nd Floor, The Mall Shopping Centre, Malad (West).

We were introduced to Venue Manager Mr. Imran Khan ([protected]).They explained us how the company grew in the past and have diversified business. They have tie up with DAE. They also informed us that they have their own resort near India Lawns Lavasa Link Road, Mukaiwadi, Pirangut post, Mulshi Taluka Pune: 411 108, Maharashtra, India.

They showed us many holiday packages during the presentation. Initially we denied to go for such membership, but however they insisted and offered us heavy discounts on the same. When we were about to end the discussion with negative response, Mr. Imran Khan (Manager) gave me an offer of 21 days holiday package for 30000 INR to which I thought was a good deal. He gave us his personal mobile number and assured us that if I am not satisfied they will straight away refund my money. Also he confirmed incase, their company i.e., Spring Hills stop working, still we will carry membership with DAE which will be available for 5 years.

We were promoted with other offers like 10%-20% discount on food and beverages. Stay at any DAE properties worldwide will be at USD 99, which later we came to know that it is above USD 99.

We received our membership card in Sep'2013, immediately we were planning for holiday in Oct'13 to North India, and to our surprise they initially denied stating non-availability of rooms. Later they said DAE do not have properties in few locations requested by me. And further on next conversation we came to know that we need to book rooms 5-6 months prior.

Surprisingly, all the commitments and offerings were found to be fake. I went to their Malad office to complaint the same and there was again an electrifying shock that their Malad Office was shut. I called their Vidya Vihar office, where I spoke to Jennifer ([protected] / [protected]) she informed me that Malad Office is under renovation and temporarily closed. However, it did not reopen till now. I asked them to refund the money but they did not help me for the same.

Finally I thought of trying the services as I was about to complete 1 year in this fight. In June 2014, I visited their Lavasa resort for 1st time. Initially I was informed that they give Morning Breakfast and Mineral Water at free of cost to Members. Which was not given to us, infact the charged us for the same.

My membership id is 1113 which is on my wife’s name Nishtha Gandhi.

Surprisingly, their Vidya Vihar office numbers are also down since last 1 month.

I have booked for Oct'14, but no one response for the same. Request you to kindly help me in availing the refund for the same.

I did lot of follow up with them. Finally i wrote this complaint in this consumer forum. Few days after i got a call from Jennifer. She told me that i will get my refund check in a weeks time and she asked me to remove this complaint. I said i wont remove it. Finally i got my check as promised by her. But it was a nightmare as i had to call them 100 times and this went on for more than 9-10 months. Few days after getting my refund she called me back to remove this complaint but i didnt as i knew there would be many sufferers like me.

Request all the victims to take legal actions against this fake company.

Dear All,

I have also experienced the same. There is no proper response received on my concerns. No email is coming or delivering to them. There is no customer care and the people are not learnt about servicing the client. Every time we request for booking they say that its full. Even I think this false promise making company gets into some legal strangle. My e-mail address is [protected]@yahoo.com. Can we all make a consumer complaint against this company.

I have experience the same. Its all about false promises. Notransparency, no disclosure, no customer service, no well behave & expertstaff. No response to my email. Every time the reply on phone that the booking are full. Can we file a consumer complaint against the company.
