Zo Rooms — Non refunding of failed reservations in respect of non-availability of rooms.

On 22-Dec-2015, a booking was made for 26Dec2015-01Jan2016 at ZO Rooms Lal Baug Parel vide Booking ID:MUPA399B249469 through my Travel Agent. But I was later informed that the same is cancelled and 100% refund will be given by Sat. Now they say refund will be done till Wed. My money is gone.

r much persuasion, as I was curious to speak with the Receptionist for further information regarding Laundry Service/ Visitors, etc., I was given the following numbers: -

3.[protected]

4.[protected]

After speaking to one gentleman on mobile number at sl.no 1 above, I was informed that no bookings have been made/ taken for the last 2.5 months due to non-payment by ZoRooms and hence the booking cannot be honored.

Thereafter, I spoke again to the Customer Care Executive (Mr. Devendra) who now provided me the numbers at sl.no 3 and 4 above and reiterated that the booking is successful and I needn’t worry.


Upon speaking to somebody who claims to be “Manager at Hotel Hiramani Lal Baug Parel”, I was informed that indeed no more bookings are taken on behalf of ZO Rooms and that by 23-Dec-2015 an accurate status will be given to me.


I immediately spoke again to Mr. Devendra Pandey informing him about these developments. He later sent an email (devendra.[protected]@zorooms.com) to my Travel Agent, copying me on it, asking for the Bank Details so that Refund may be initiated at the earliest. On reproduction Devendra’s email dtd. 22-Dec-2015 at 09:40 PM would read as follows: -


“Hello Sir,

This is regarding your booking as we are already occupied in mumbai so we are offering refund.

Please reply this mail with below details.

Account Number-

Bank IFSC-

Account Holder Name-

Bank Branch Location-

Devendra pandey”


On 23-Dec-2015, I spoke to another Customer Care Executive (Mr. Raj Kumar). Upon providing the Booking ID, I was informed that the booking is successful much to my surprise that the above email of Devendra has gone unnoticed to Raj/ Zo Rooms’ database.


After clarifying everything to Raj, he sent another email asking for the same Bank details. On reproduction Raj’s email ([protected]@zorooms.com) dtd. 23-Dec-2015 at 06:10 PM would read as follows: -


“Hi sir,

Please share your bank details with us so we can get your refund amount initiated ASAP.”

The Travel Agent immediately shared his Bank Details and a reply came from Raj's email on 23-Dec-2015 at 06:25 PM which on reproduction would read as follows:-


"Hi,

I have got your bank details and its been initiated so kindly wait, your amount will be refunded till Saturday.”

Last night when I spoke to Raj again, he appears abysmally vague and clueless but managed to mutter that by Wednesday money will be credited when his email, which has been reproduced as above, clearly states otherwise. He has then sent another email stating that by Wednesday money will be credited. On reproduction Raj’s email ([protected]@zorooms.com) dtd. 24-Dec-2015 at 08:44 PM would read as follows: -


“Hi

Kindly wait till Wednesday your amount will be refunded till Wednesday.”
