Air India — assistance services for impaired travellers
Dear air india team, I am writing to express my frustrations with a recent experience i had on one of your flights. I got an air india flight from vienna to amritsar (Ai154/114) with a stop at new delhi and return. At the time of flight booking i made pretty sure to pre-book a wheelchair. Then i was surprised at what happened when i got at amritsar on 11 november. Despite of being picked up with a wheelchair, a staff member asked me to go by foot. Besides me, there were a couple of other impaired travelling guests who have been asked the same. It was an awful service. They took about two hours to make to the immigration controls. Well, the same incident happened on my return flight at new delhi (Ai 113/153) airport. Now this time it was even worse as i had to catch my next flight. This issue could have affected my connection flight. I am also concerned with the lack of professionality i experienced with the assistant staff members who were in charge for the wheelchairs. They seriously had the nerve to ask me for a tip. I would not mind giving a tip for a good service, but it made me feel more annoying. I hope to hear back from you about this unfortunate experience. Please contact me if possible via email at [protected]@gmail.com. Sincerely, Mrs. Harjinder kaur Was this information helpful?
