Dear Sir/ Madam,
I had purchased 2 tickets (for self and my spouse) on 18/04/2021 online through travel agency "Bravofly" (lastminute.com) for my onward journey on 22/06/2021 from Bhubaneswar to JFK (New York) and return journey on 19/12/2021 from EWR (New York) to Bhubaneswar. I had paid Rs.1, 62, 795.89 (Rupees One Lac Sixty Two Thousand Seven Hundred Ninety Five and paise Eighty Nine), as the booking amount for the tickets. Our booking reference No. is Y8Y57 (E ticket #[protected] / 640). I have also booked (Reservation) seats for our journeys (both sides) directly through Air India web site on the same date (18/04/2021) on payment of Rs21, 408 (Rupees Twenty One Thousand Four Hundred Eight) @ Rs.10, 704/- per person. On 22/06/2021 we were denied "Boarding Pass" at Bhubaneswar Airport with the plea of restrictions imposed by USA Authorities on travel of B1/B2 "Visa" holders due to COVID 19. Being denied and virtually driven out of the BBI airport, I had reported the matter to my travel agent and also Air India customer care about the matter and requested for extension of our flight schedule or refund of full amount as we had no fault in the matter, rather we were disallowed by the "Flight Operator i.e. Air India". I have been contacting the travel agent who has been assuring to do the needful as and when allowed by flight operator (now the travel agent does not receive the calls). I have been also writing to Air India customer care several times in this regard without any result. I request you to kindly take immediate steps in this regard for deferment/ reschedule of flight itinerary i.e. onward journey from Bhubaneswar to New York during the month of April, 2022 and return journey during December, 2022. If rescheduling of flight itinerary cannot be done then total amount paid by me for booking of journey tickets and seat reservation charges i.e. Rs.1, 84, 203/- (Rupees One lac Eighty Four Thousand Two Hundred Three) may please be refunded to me through net banking to my account in State Bank of India. I may please be informed on the matter at an earliest date.
