Hi,

I had book air india flight tickets for traveling from india to usa, but due to covid-19, the flights were cancelled. Following are the flights

1. Pnr number ycpsy for my in-laws to travel from kolkata to san francisco was cancelled.
2. Pnr j66hm, the return leg of the flights books to go back from san francisco to kolkata for my parents was cancelled.

I have talked to customer care and they asked my to send email to [protected]@airindia.in which i did. But it has been months and i have not even heard back from them.
Air India customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.

    I have 9 tickets booked on air india under 4 pnrs for various travel for me and my family during apr-20 to aug-20. Since flights were cancelled due to covid-19, i have been following up with air india for refund with no response. Multiple emails to ecommerce have gone unanswered. I am based in muscat.
    Air India customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.

      Sir,

      The amount is held up at AIR INDIA for more than six Months. I am wholly dependant on my retired husband, with no other source of Income. Whenever I sent mails, I was receiving just Computer Generated stereo type answers OR unwarranted queries’ just to buy time.
      In case you want to know the mail contents, u may call back from them / I can forward it for your reference. BUT, please see that my amount is refunded without further loss of time.

        I have raised many queries and also emailed them for the refund of my ticket worth Rs 1, 04, 927. But I am not able to get it from last 2 months.

          My name is dhilip Kumar M i had received a message from [protected]@jobs updates. Quikr.com names bhartendu namwal mentioning that my job application has been selected in air india for domestic airport, for joining send passport size photo, i'd proof, education certificate and updated resume on what's app number +[protected]. When i chatted to this number he replied me my job post is mechanical engineer at Bangalore airport terminal-1 (Bangalore) and my joining date is sep 2 of 2020. There was no interview, direct joining only. Then air india application fee is.380 and @rs.5510 pay till today by online then he told me evening the offer letter copy get in mail and original received 2-3days working days in my home address.
          Then he told me to pay (5510) and sent receipt or screen shots of online transactions. For proof he sent i'd card, so i believed him then sent rs.5510 via paytm. After that i asked him letter. Then his mind changed again he asked me training fee 8300 for 15days and it's also refundable in 1st month of salary, so i had paid rs.8300via paytm and he said to pay mnr processingfees (15, 230) rupees, he said don't worry we air india do not do such thing pay till today i will dispatch letter today. I asked him where letter, he is telling dear 24300 pay till tomorrow then only you will receive your original offer letter..So what i will do? Am i lost my (5510+8300+15230) rupees, totally 29, 080rupees. How can i return back this amount?

            Dear sir/madam,

            I have reached out airindia customer service and ecommerce, both either not responding or not answering my question on when they issue the refund instead giving a caned answer. Below is the email that has all the details.

            Dear sir/madam,

            Thanks for the response. Also, it is clear from your response you didn’t read my email thoroughly, this is very disappointing. So, this time i am repeating/reiterating to give more emphasize to what i am saying, to really see if you are able to read the email fully and open the attachments to see the details that i have provided what you are looking for and also see my pain and anxiety.

            Please read this email thoroughly to understand the request, please do not do the following in your response – which will hint that you are just giving automated response, without understanding your value customer issue.
            1. Do not deflect the email queries to air india [protected]@airindia.in or ecommerce ecommerce [protected]@airindia.in, as each one of you owe a response to this email
            2. Provide estimate time for refund, do not provide generic reply that due to covid it is taking time for processing the refund
            3. Do not deflect saying, i need to call the customer service center, as i called 3-4 times and they are asking to contact you and the wait is terrible.
            We purchased 1 business class ticket, through 2 transactions a) and b)
            1. Purchased 1 economy ticket from web portal - booking reference jf7ec - attaching the pdf file of eticket itinerary / receipt – requesting refund amount o[censored]sd 651.40
            2. Upgraded the economy ticket to business class with help of agent from air india call center e-ticket number:[protected] and exchange ticket:[protected] – attaching the email of itinerary receipt - requesting refund of additional collected amount of inr 116800
            As per our conversation with air india call center agent,
            1. The transaction a) that was done through the portal should be refunded by the [protected]@airindia.in – @[protected]@airindia.in, please let me know when you can process the refund.
            2. The transaction b) that was done through the air india call center should be refunded by the [protected]@airindia.in - @[protected]@airindia.in, please let me know when you can process the refund.
            Also, please note we have existing case id: 02783911 and also there is a acknowledgement from air india in email on aug 1st (Attaching that email as well), that full refund will be processed. We have been following up on this matter for last 4 months and the amount is huge. Please kindly help in this matter by providing a date on when this refund will be processed.

              Apllied for refund 4 months ago but not yet got the refund in my bank account
              Although i received email from air india on 25 july that refund initiated..
              I called on every helpline number of air india but no response received regarding the issue...
              Email on [protected]@airindia.in but they never replied....
              They simply said that status showed refunded... But i don't receive the amount yet... Nor they provide information about refunded amount and refund date transaction i'd of refund..
              Kindly resolve the issue....

                I had booked three tickets from new delhi to san francisco (Usa) and return in air india flight through easy my trip but due to covid 19, the flight got canceled by airline company. The purpose of this trip was to attend my son's convocation in the santa barbara university of california. I approached the airline company to refund my ticket amount as i have no use to visit in the future because the convocation is not going to organize anymore. The airline company has allowed me to use this amount as credit and forcing me to use this amount for the next visit but i want my amount refund.

                  Fake job offer letter

                  I have received a call from a lady Krithika[protected] Air India who said will be providing job and asked to deposit Rs 1500 paid and I have attached. Later she provide me with application which needs to filled and submitted. Later she gave her manager number Aditya Roy [protected] and he requested us to pay 15900rs we paid and attached the receipt. How is phone is under swtich off and not providing us any updates...

                  While booking mistake happened entered only first name instead given name as per passport
                  asked to correct by call Centre through e mail also not getting connected through provided tel no looks unable to fly back after stuck six month in Sydney timely action reply helped...

                  1.My wife diksha sisodia got her air india flight AI 850 from pune to delhi booked vide pnr no AIBE47399436...Cancellation referenc is Z394L..d refund was received for d same

                  2.However refund of special seat selection for which rs 500 was paid vide referenc[protected] has not been received even after 19 months of correspondence on d subject

                    I am writing this complaint against Air India. Air india staff has stolen my gold jewellery from my luggage. I traveller through air india on 16th aug 2020 from delhi to coimbatore with flight AI512.

                    They opened my bag and took my pendant set with mangalsutra and a ring. When i reached home and opened my bag i saw these things missing from my bag. I didn't go anywhere in between and nobody came to my house after reaching so i am sure things have been stoled during flight by Air India staff.

                      I have got 2 group tickets each with 8 tickets. These were booked on february before lock down and its declaration. During lock down. Air india cancelled these tickets without even a mail. Now i am trying to get the refund since may 2020. We have send many mails to ecommerce, called many times to the customer care. Every time they pick up the call, they put it on hold asking us to wait. I will be waiting for 15 to 20 minutes, then the call gets connected. This is happening since then.
                      Only acknowledge mail is receiving from ecommerce.
                      Please refund my amount at the earliest. Please give me a response. At least call me back or get me mail. Getting such poor customer care from such a reputed company like air india is so bad

                        I cancel my ticket which pnr is yl3qk ticket no.[protected]. Del to yyz on date 17 june 2020. I cancel this ticket by call on your helpline number on date 8th june they said you will get full refund but after that i didn't get refund by your side. So i called on your helpline number then said write to us on [protected]@airindia.in i wrote many times on this mail but not get any refund. So today i contacted on your helpline number then said we refunded by our side then i said to him as i didn't get refund in my account please tell me which account you have refunded my amount then he said i can't tell you this because we don't have information for this. Now i want to know that when you refunded me and which account you have refunded. I also contacted on your [protected]@airindia.in and i also contacted on your ecommerce contact number but they didn't give me any reply kindly give me reply regarding this. I applied my refund before two months but didn't get till now. I am looking forward hearing from you. Contact no.[protected].

                          I cancelled my flight that was scheduled for 15th feb 2020. The cancellation was acknowledged by air india. Agreed for refund through e-mail. Till date refund against cancellation is not made despite reminder through e-mail to e-commerce mail id. Payment has to made to the credit card that was used for booking the flight ticket.

                            I have made a payment of inr 3360.00 (Paid a total of rs.3, 371.80 including transaction/bank fee via hdfc netbanking, bank narration: shdf[protected]/billdkair india, transaction ref no. [protected]) against pnr yf87t (Passenger name: urikhinbamdeepak singh) on mon, 15 jun 2020 for rescheduling an already confirmed booking. The above mentioned pnr was newly created by air india customer care and provided to me along with a payment link...

                            This is to complaint against Air India as I had booked my flight from Aurangabad to Delhi AirIndia AI-442 for 7 August and from Delhi to Aurangabad for 16 August AI-441.
                            Booking PNR HYMYS -7 August
                            Booking PNR Y39QW -16 August
                            We have contacted your customer care executive multiple times for the same, but with no help from their end. The flight has been cancelled from their end and the customer care executive, Megha told us that we are not eligible for refund with no valid reason given to us. It has been a horrible experience talking to your customer care team as they hold no authority to help us. I have been cheated by AirIndia as well as goibibo who owe me my money back. I need my full refund back for both the flights.

                              Date of travelling 25th may 2020
                              1. From pune to hyderabad

                              Amount : 7, 730/-

                              2. From hyderbad-pune-hyderbad

                              Booking reference : hswzf
                              Flight number : ai9867 and ai9868
                              Amount = 14, 359/-

                              I was told that both flights have been cancelled and the amount will be refunded in 3-5 days. I have sent sent, 20 -25 mails, and on repeated conversions, i didn't got my money back.

                              As i booked them directly through the air indian website.

                              But till to date i have not recived the refund

                                I booked a trip from patna to delhi through makemytrip.
                                The tickets were with air india. Air india cancelled the flights in may and makemytrip told me that once we get conformation of refund from air india,
                                You will get the refund processed. I have waited over 3 months and called makemytrip 5 times,
                                But atlast they are telling me that you have to reschedule your ticket with air india. I have already reached my destination, no further use of that ticket.

                                  Job scam/ fraud in name of job

                                  Mr deepak namdeo kadam was referred to me by my friend preeti gupta for job in air india as a cabin crew. He told me to meet at mumbai domestic airport for further discussion regarding job as cabin crew in air india and that he is working with air india as a crew scheduling officer mumbai airport. He assured me that he would land me a job in air india as a cabin crew and asked me to pay him sum of rs 2, 20, 000/- for job saying he has contacts...
