I had booked my ticket in dec 2019 for my family to travel to india in july. Owing to covid all the flights were cancelled which is understandable. However what is non understandable is the silence on multiple requests for refunds. The contact centre number exists in paper only with no one bothering to pick the phone. How do i get my refunds as the ticket was booked in very much advance of the covid breakout?

    Hi,

    When i was trying to book a ticket from london to bangalore for 25th august 2020, the payment was unsuccessful for the first two times and it was successful in the third attempt.
    The first two attempts showed a message saying the transaction was unsuccessful but the money has been deducted from the account. Could you please help me in getting the refund back for the unsuccessful attempts?

    Below are the details:
    Attempt 1:
    Transaction was done through the debit card ending with 1268. Transaction unsuccessful but money is debited. Didn't get any ticket confirmation from airindia.

    Attempt 2:
    Transaction was done through the credit card ending with 5154. Transaction unsuccessful but money got deducted. Didn't get any ticket confirmation from airindia.

    Attempt 3:
    Transaction was done through the debit card ending with 1268 (Same card used in attempt 1). Transaction was successful, got the confirmed ticket with pnr.

    Could you please help me with the refund for the two failed transactions?

    Also please ensure that the ticket i got for the successful transaction remains confirmed with no changes as i need to travel back to india on[protected].

      Hallo sir/madam,
      Refering to the ticket #[protected] i have made this tickets booking beforegovernment of india has given no go signal to airindia on international flights due to the lock down. Later i have changed my plans of travelling and cancelled this travel and sent a mail to the mobile booking team of air india by giving my cancellation request confirmation.in reply to my mail they have committed the refund in the stipulated time. Even after the stipulated time i never recieve my refund into my concerned booking account. Now when i ask the same to them
      They are replying an with an auto generated mail describing i need to reschedule on the same ticket till 31dec2020 during which time i dont have any travel plan.

      So i would need your help to recieve my appropriate amount back into my
      Account. I can provide the mail conversation happened in between myself and the finance team of airindia which may help you with more description.

        Hi Team,

        I was trying to book VBM flight from London to Bangalore on 28th July around 14:00 IST. After providing the card details, an error page was displayed, hence I retried and the same happened for two times. Later I used a different card and I got confirmed tickets. When I checked my bank account I realised that, both the transaction which showed an error page were gone through, but I dint receive any updates/emails from Air India. I tried to contact them on their UK call centre number provided on the website[protected], it is not reachable. I sent an email to [protected]@airindia.in and [protected]@airindia.in
        I received a reply form [protected]@airindia.in to drop an email to [protected]@airinidia.in which I did and there is no response from them. It's been more than 2 working days now.
        Air India customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.

        Even I am facing the Issue. I have written the email to [protected]@airindia.in. I haven't got any reply from them. Could you let me know to which email I.D. have you been contacting to?

          I, captain tanuja (Mns officer) nr 23953p, request you to issue a non availabilty certificate for direct flights of air india from kolkata to chandigarh on 26july 2020 and chandigarh to kolkata on 25 august 2020.
          And if it is, all the ai flights are having a hault at delhi airport for longer time period which is not advisable in this covid scenario.
          So for the reimbursement of the flight tickets...

          I have booked 4 tickets from mumbai to vns travel date on 05 may 2020 and 5 ticket from vns to bom on 01 june 2020 as you we know due covid - 19 all flights are canceled. As per your policy, we can be booked tickets in the future with the same amount.

          Now i have checked for flight but there no direct flight between bom to vns and the flight which presents, which halts 1 or 2 more destinations and charge almost double as compared to other flights.

          I need my full refund.

                I have booked a ticket in AirIndia on Monday from Newyork to Chennai for Friday 24th July 2020 which had a connecting flight from Delhi to Chennai on 25th July 4.30PM. Suddenly the next day i got a mail that the flight from del to chennai is rescheduled to 26th 4.30 PM..

                As i am travelling alone with my 5yrs old kid i cannot stay overnight in Delhi hence i called the support team to check for any other flights . Debashish from the support team was explaining us about the rescheduling option to Monday but suddenly call went blank and got disconnected. Not sure what happened then we tried around 10 times again and then we got another support person and she told that our PNR has been cancelled. This is ridiculous seriously, we are so much stresses. Without even confirming with us how can it be cancelled by support team. If required u can check our calls to the team.
                After which we have mailed them called them many times no proper response since the tickets are cancelled.

                Request you to please help in getting the complete amount back ASAP as we haven't cancelled or requested for cancellation. Please help. We need to travel again, kindly understand the users perspective and help us please.

                  Its going to be two months. I booked my ticket for 30 may, 2020 from hyd to asr. Air india cancelled my flight but didnot inform me at all. I kept on calling air india to confirm from one week till night before arrival. No body informed me and it was showing on time/scheduled for that fight. I had so urgent piece of work at my destination. On continously sending emails to airindia, i am getting system. Generated email froms company. No body is reading the mails even and not refundinv my 10k money back. I request you to please help me to refund my money back. I need money pls. Pls help me.

                    I am a senior citizen and booked ticket from mumbai to san fransisco. There was minor mistake of spelling and gender was not mentioned. I sent mail for corrections to [protected]@airindia.in immediately but it was not answered. So with great difficulty, i got helpline number. They said that i will have to go either to mumbai or delhi office of air india to make correction. I am at nashik and it was not possible for me to visit there due to corona situation in nashik and mumbai. They had cancelled the ticket with heavy cancellation charge of rs.15000 per head. Considering that i am a senior citizen and serious corona situation, i request air india to waive my cancellation charges'

                      I booked my ticket by air india yesterday for mumbai to san fransisco via delhi. There was error while typing the name of one of the passengers. I sent email to air india immediately on their email id [protected]@airindia.in to correct name and put gender bu they did not respond.
                      It was very difficult to get helpline number of air india. Ultimately they informed that the ticket modification is not possible either online or over phone. I have to go to mumbai office for modifications. I am in nashik. It is difficult for me being a senior citizen of 65 years to go and find air india office in covid period. They said that i have to pay cancellation charges rs.15000 per passengers. My only request is that air india should have corrected the ticket considering corona period. I request them to waive cancellation charge considering covid position.

                      I have not received even a simple acknowledgement from Air India to my mails to them Dated 20th, 21st, 23rd, July and today. My refund is not received.So my big amount is blocked with them. Vande Bharat Mission is a Governments Program and the passengers shouldn't have such inconvenience. Secondly, when ticket is booked online, minor correction should be possible either online or over phone. In Corona Pandemic period, how can they expect a person to go to Mumbai or Delhi City from Nasik Maharashtra for minor correction .That too, I am a Senior Citizen.

                      It is true that Air India has noted the complaint.They have accordingly acknowledged. However no action has been taken so far. As per their telephonic suggestion, I could not go to their Delhi or Mumbai office from Nasik (My hometown) for making minor correction in the ticket.This was because it was Covid 19 period and all Nashik, Mumbai and Delhi were hot spot places.I am a senior citizen of 65years. For above reasons, I requested them to cancel the tickets without deduction of Cancellation charges. Ultimately, I booked ticket on the same flight of Vande Bharat because it was necessary for me to travel. The Vande Bharat mission is for helping Indian citizens and common citizens shouldn't be harassed for minor error. Kindly take up with them.

                      As an Indian Public Sector undertaking, I hope that you must be looking to the customer's problems with practical and human angle. I hope, you consider me as a Senior Indian Citizen and the Covid 19 condition, which prevented me from approaching your Delhi and Mumbai office from my hometown Nasik for correcting my original ticket.                       I have not received no refund till date.I am a Senior Citizen.Nearly one and half month has passed after the cancellation. Still Air India is not acting.In Covid 19 period, I am having inconvenience because my money is blocked.

                        Please refer to booking reference Eticket no.[protected] &[protected] PNR JFCNQ and Eticket no.[protected] PNR Z08TS against which a ticket from Mumbai to Dehradun was booked but as per govt. instruction as well as website messages appeared that the said flight suspended. It is to submit that passengers under the suspended flight tickets have no further journey requirement during the coming period upto March, 2021 as they are students of 12th Board/6th std. and in the absence of non utilization of this amount to use to book the tickets under the name of other persons we are in the middle way advised. Thus it is requested to kindly intervene in the matter and direct to the concern to release /refund the amount accordingly.

                        Supreme Court said today airline will have to refund money collected from tickets that were cancelled following the coronavirus induced lockdown without any cancellation charges. The judgement applies for booking made for both domestic and international tickets during the period. So please refund my money.

                          I booked a flight for 22nd july 2020 but i cancelled it due to covid 19 on may 24, 2020. Air india executive told me that i will get the refund with one month at the time of cancellation but it's almost two months and i didn't get the refund even after sending many many many reminders. They don't response on mails/ calls. Pls process my refund asap. Thanks.

                          Ps: also, i was explained over cancellation call by air india executive that there would be a cancellation charge of inr 2500+ 5% tax per passenger so i am assuming my refund amount accordingly.

                            I tried to book a flight ticket for returning to india (Bishkek - hyderabad) on[protected] by using a credit card. But after entering the one time password the screen showed as "authorization failed", but money has been deducted from the bank account (Eur 578.19). I have attached the mail i got from the hsbc bank. I did not get any mail from the ticket. On contacting the bank the bank said that the payment was successful.

                                My return flight on 16 march was cancelled and your helpline was told me that refund will take place in 2 weeks

                                As of till date i have not received any refund yet

                                I need full refund as it was cancelled by your side.. Have spoke to customer care they said they will refund full back..

                                    So I texted him via whatsapp. Post - Mechanical Engineer
