I Prashanth Kumar Gangaiah, research student from IIT Kharagpur, traveled From Kolkatta to Long Beach, CA on 14th June 2019 for the conference to present my research work. I traveled in Air India from Kolkata to San Francisco via Delhi in the flights AI 023(CCU-DEL) and AI 173 (DEL-SFO). My baggage has not arrived at SFO airport along with my flight on 15th June. All my clothes, basic amenities, chargers, eatable items, conference materials poster, etc. were there in my baggage. In SFO airport, Air India baggage manager promised me to deliver my baggage within two days to my hotel where I stayed. I clearly told them at SFO airport that I have to return back to India on 21st June but they promised me to deliver my baggage within 21st June and took only the motel address where I have stayed from 15th to 21st June. But till now there is no information about my baggage. Air India staff at SFO airport are so irresponsible people and always try to escape from the situation instead of solving the issue. I tried to contact through e-mail provided in the website and all messages are not delivered due to unavailability of the address. Air India is such a hopeless airline and not updated proper contact details on their website. I am really very much disappointed and planning to file a case against air India in consumer court against my losses incurred due to delay in my baggage. Kindly someone help me how to claim the loss of baggage compensation or how to lodge a complaint in consumer court.

      Air india cancelled the subject mentioned flight on june 15 with a less than 24 hours notice without giving any reason and without providing any alternate flight options. When contacted for compensation, the airline has been dillydallying for the past 20 days and is just saying that we have escalated the matter to the concerned team without any response from that team.

          I was booking 2 tickets of flight no. Ai-156 from delhi to goa for the date 31st august 2019 for self and my husband. I opted to pay via upi. An amount of rs. 7194 was deducted from my bank account. However, i did not get any ticket confirmation mail from air india. I called air india customer care where i was told that pnr jxs53 and jsx3w were generated but the tickets have not been booked. They told me to raise a refund request by mailing the issue on [protected]@airindia.in. I have emailed them thrice. Howver, i did not get any response from their side. I am afraid to book tockets again without written confirmation from airindia that earlier rhe tickets have not been booked. The upi refernce id for payment is[protected] and the time of transaction is 12:51 am on 1st july 2019. I request you to confirm that the tickets have not been confirmed and raise the refund at the earliest.

            The baggage for complete flight 651 from mumbai to raipur was not in the aircraft... Dated july 2/2019... The delay was due to weather we understand that but from 13 hrs to 15hrs we were made to wait in the flight stating the reason that some of the passengers have cancelled hence their luggage is being disembarked and at raipur we were told that no single luggage was boarded... Lazy and confused ground handling staff at mumbai airport

              My mother has travelled through airindia from minneapolis to hyderabad on june 26th.
              Minneapolis - chicago delhi - hyderbad
              Passenger name - sujata kallepalli
              Itinerary is flight/date: dl 2424 / 26 jun / ai126 / 27 jun and ticket number:[protected]c1.

              We had 2 check-in luggages which were delayed to deliver by 3 days

              1st baggage has missing fossil watch which is $100.
              2nd baggage delivered on 1st july at 11.00pm with no items in the bag almost empty.

              We have lost 10kgs of items worth of 400 us dollars including 1 fossil watch, clothes (6 nike tshirts, 2 puma tshirts, 2 gap kids tshirts, 3 adults gap tshirts), 2 packs of linda chocolates and bath & body works (8 mists, 1 body wash, 2 body creams)

              I have spent $1500 ticket and lost almost $400 worth of items.

              The air india airlines is responsible for our loss and mental pressure.

              Hope they take this seriously and handover our missing items or refund us $400.

                My mother has travelled through airindia from minneapolis to hyderabad on june 26th.

                We had 2 check-in luggages which were delayed which they told they didnt have time to send to hyderabad on time. They said they will do home delivery on june 30th. They sent 1 baggage at night 11pm with a fossil watch missing which is worth 100$.

                After multiple calls and rude customer service from the stupidest airlines sent the second baggage on july 1st is almost empty. I dont know what to say steal, rob or fraud airlines that we lost clothes, perfumes, chocolates and everything.

                This is a # and fraud airline company who didnt deliver our luggage immediately but have stolen all the items and their baggage claim is the worst of all.

                I dont trust this airlines and shame to travel to india using this airlines.

                Please anyone dont ever book tickets through this airlines for short duration. I mainly booked this flight as it was short duration where they charged me $1500 for the ticket and have 500$ of lost baggage. Shame on you air india.

                Hope others will see this review and stop booking flight using this.

                  I was flying with air india from tlv to bangaloure with a stop in delhi.
                  When taking off from tlv i made sure the suitcase will get all the way to bangaloure.
                  The flight attended assure that it will happen.

                  When arriving to bangaloure i see that my suitcase has not arrived. At first there was a girl who told me that the suitcase will come to the hotel and that she will check regarding compensation as j am on a business trip.
                  Than we went to the office to fill the report and a very rude guy, name irshad ahmed, disregards everything she told me.

                  According to him it is my fault i did not picked up the luggage and went through clearance (I had no clue i needed to do so). I need to loose a working day and to go to the airport in mysore to collect my baggage and there is no compensation.

                  He was taking so surly not ready to listen to anything i said!!!

                  Please explain why do i need to loose money for buying necessary things and loose working time, which is obviously very expansive as i am here on a business trip, due to your mistakes???!!!

                  I am a business woman who is travelling often around the world. I have never experienced such a humiliating service.

                  I hope you will find your way to compensate me for the financial lost, like every respectful airline around the globe.

                      wrong seat allocation even after pre booking the seat while booking the flight ticket online

                      What is the point of pre booking the seat for which amount has already been paid and finally while boarding the flight get to see that a different seat has been allocated. Is this what the seat charge was paid!! Paid the amount who will reimburse the same?? Air india. My money is not black money, so i need proper justification about the uneducated staffs which air india are paying who don't even have courtesy to speak with passengers on a...

                      My flight scheduled by air india ai 801 del-blr scheduled for del-blr, 19:25 ist was canceled by air india at 8:00 am and communicated by just an sms.
                      I had to book another flight at the last moment because of which i had to pay surge and extra amount.

                      The air india team did not communicate anything about the cancellation reason and support till date.
                      After checking with them for a refund due to cancellation, i was denied the same. They claim they had rescheduled the flight. However, i never received a call or message from them about the same.

                      I am unable to reach customer support since then since they never pick up the call.

                        I want to draw attention of all, towards the misbehaviour of air india staff. The incidence was as under.

                        We had a flight of air india, ai 868, pnr zc862 on 23/06/2019 at 10.00 p. M., from delhi to mumbai.

                        We reached air port around 8.55 p. M.. We were 4 people. Me, my 2 kids, daughter (25 years), son (18 years) and my father (83 years). We all were having identity card in physical form, except my son. His i card was in our mobile. But security people were not accepting same and they guide us to go to some other gate. We went there. My daughter and my son were with the guard for security check and me and my father went for checking counter no. E. It was 9.15 p. M., we were on the counter.

                        We were approaching the counter, where one gentleman was sitting. I was showing our ticket to him, but at the same time, one lady staff from the other counter, named kurdeep kaur, came and said that now it is not possible, time is up. I said please allow us. I am having sr. Citizen with me. She told where are your kids. I said they are doing security check, by the time please process for boarding pass. We had already done web checking, through inter-net. At least for 2 o[censored]s. After conversation this, time was 9.20 p. M.. Now she was telling that now it is out of time, you cant go.

                        We are from defence background. I am also working in bank. By the time my kids were also reached but she did not allow us. I asked her to let me speak to your senior officer. She told me that i have already talked and he is not allowing.

                        I went to assistant counter and requested them for help, but they also said that only counter e staff can do the needful. During this time, we were receiving calls from flight also, to catch it.

                        Due to these type of staff behaviour and harrasment by ms. Kaur, we had to miss our flight and had to face huge loss. Financially, as well as mentally agony. I had to back to noida in late night, with my kids and my old father.

                        The behavior of staff was not at all customer friendly.in spite of old aged father, having defence background, they did not allow us to check, though we reached airport well before time and also had web-checked on before had. But that lady staff intentionally not allowed us to catch the flight.

                        I strongly oppose the behavior of such type of staff and want the air india authority to take strong action against this type of staff. They must be punished/dismissed from the public relation job.

                        Last further, the monetary loss of rs. 23000/- due to cancellation of ticket, cost of local transport of rs. 3000/- and booking of ticket for next day travel costing of rs. 16000/- may be reimbursed to me. Failing which, i will approach consumer court for the financial and mental agony suffered to my family.

                        Hope air india will take action immediately.

                          This is to inform you that capt. Agnik bonnerjee, assistant controller with our national airliner air india company employee id 80038662 have resigned from the post on 12th of may 2019.

                          I would like to let you know that air india personnel dept. Has not yet released me after 45 days of resignation and and six months o[censored]npaid leave. Air india ltd personnel dept has not given me correct salary slips for last six months including the month after my resignation. Although my salary is rs
                          45000 the finance dept is sending me fraudulent salary slips in which there is no account for rs 14000 every month. I have called miss. Anita rajan from administrative dept only to find that she is receiving my call and disconnecting rudely. There is also one agm
                          Mr. Jagdish who is negotiating the clearance negatively.

                          I am connected with other people with no response regarding resignation, including hrd, personnel, gmops, and admin.

                          I have worked with air india for two years meritoriously as an assistant controller i have found that people are really unfit and unable to work in a suspicious manner. There are people with dangerous zoonotic deseases like staph infection, ms, meningitis, hsv2 which i didn't like. I was about to take a loan for further training as a pilot when the finance department started spoiling my salary slip and extorting money.

                              It is with reluctance and regrets i am writing this email. I traveled from riyadh to mumbai in ai922 on 27th june 2019.
                              I had two check-in baggage (Pictures attached alongside). One of my bags was tampered with. Chain and lock were professionally broken and my brand new samsung galaxy s9 plus 128gb mobile phone was stolen (Pictures attached alongside) post which the chain was attached back. The moment i tried to open my bag lock the entire lock and the chain fell off. All my things inside the bag were messed with and phone and the connector was missing. There were other small items which were missing too.
                              I raised this complaint with air india staff (Nikhil chaudhary), csif and sahar police station.
                              I even met and personally raised concerns about the luggage safety with csia operations manager (Mr. Dhiren)

                              This is such a shame that this incident took place and there was very little air india airport staff could actually do. I went through the cctv footage of mumbai airport of my bags being loaded onto the belt by the loaders. I watched the cctv footage under the supervision of cisf personnel (Vicky kumar) however, he did not have access to all the cameras.
                              I am very sure that my bag was scanned in the xray machine and the person knew very well that there was a brand new phone in my bag. This incident has taken place at either riyadh airport or mumbai airport.
                              I have attached the bill of my phone alongside this email.
                              I request air india to conduct a thorough investigation of what really happened. Right since my bag was checked in to riyadh airport all the way till i collected the bag at mumbai airport. This also includes the loaders loading and unloading my bags inside the aircraft too.
                              I will personally be taking these matters to news, media and social media but before i do so, i want air india to figure out who the culprit is and return my lost item. I will also make it a point of never again travel on air india and will communicate the same to my friends and family.

                                I was supposed to travel along with my family on 15 june 2019 from delhi to seoul by ai 310. We were made sit in the flight till 3am and then made transfer to other aircraft saying its a technical error, then till6am in the morning we were in other aircraft and finally announced for flight cancelled in the morning.in the after we were told the flight will leave at 330pm for seoul via hongkong. At 2330 hrs the flight reach hongkong and the seoul passengers were told to get down for 10 min so that the flight can be clean. By lying us we were made get down at hongkong airport. There a staff came and said the flight will leave in the morning at 08am and we need to wait the entire night at the airport without water food blankets anything. It was a night mare was everyone. Our entire trip to seoul of 2 nights gone in vain. Onward flight of jeju airlines which we booked for japan we requested the airport staff of seoul to help to postpone without any charges but he gave wrong promise and didnt help. All hotel, tours. Transfers onward ticket all moeny waste with high level harrassment by airlines.

                                  Dear sir,
                                  I travelled with my family on ai-916 flight from dubai to new delhi on 24.6.2019 on seats no 14a, 14b, 15a & 15b. However i am very sorry to say that the services of air india, hospitality, behaviour of cabin crew had detoriated a lot in the last few years as i have been regularly travelling on air india overseas on my business or leisure trips.

                                  Next time when i will travel air india would be my last preference because of the incidence and experience on my last flight and the same was the view of all the co-passengers travelling with me.

                                  The harrasment started the moment we boarded the plane as there was no cooling inside the plane and the acs were not working. It became highly suffocating inside and all the passengers including me were profusely sweating. However things improved after the plane took off and it reached its desired altitude.

                                  Next shock was the entertainment screen was not getting powered on on my seat no. 14b and touch of the adjoining screens on seats next to me was not working.

                                  To top it all the behaviour of the cabin crew shweta nanda on board the flight was really rude, blunt, arrogant, full of attitude and highly uncoperative towards all other passengers including me. She didnt even bothered to check the passengers for seat belts at the time of take off, my fellow passenger had put his hand bag on floor in front but she didnt even for once got it removed.

                                  She was bluntly refusing to all the small requests of the passengers and i dont know in which hurry she was. The lady in front of my seat had to ask her thrice for luke warm water as she was travelling with an infant but this crew was not even bothered to listen to her or to attend to any crew calling signs on board.

                                  Instead of listening or attending to the customers she was really in a hurry to just distribute the food pkts and was talking very rudely to passengers who asking for something to which she was blindly and bluntly refusing. She had heated arguments with many passengers to which some of the complained to the flight captain also.

                                  Her behaviour in flight have brought down the name of the airlines and our country. She doesnot deserve to be on such a job which involves a great amt of hospitality and skills of politeness and smiles instead she was too rude, arrogant and mannerless towards other passengers. Her misconduct towards her duty should not be tolerated for a second. I am very surprised and shocked how such hostesses are recruited and employed in such a competitive industry where services and conduct matters a lot.

                                  This is the main reason why foreign airlines are being preffered over our national carrier. I know no action against her would be taken but i am writing in a hope that one day someone will set all these things right and such type of behaviour would not be tolerated anymore and the culprits would surely be taught a lesson as it happens in other countries.

                                    I have booked my flight ticket using my sbi credit card to las vegas usa on[protected] through air india booking office coimbatore for the departure date[protected] from coimbatore air port. Since i could not visa before[protected] i have cancelled my ticket on[protected] from the coimbatore air india booking office. My e-ticket number is[protected].

                                    But even after one month from the date of cancellation the cancelled ticket amount rs 133000/- (Rupees one lakh thirty three thousands) is not credited into my sbi credit card account. The ticket price is rs 148311/- (One lakh forty eight thousands three hundred and eleven). Cancellation charge deducted by ai is rs 15000/-. Hence i request you kindly help me to get my refund credited back into my sbi credit card. I am looking forward your kind help and reply.

                                      Sharing my experience about my recent travel from newyork jfk airport to delhi airport through air india flight. It was a long flight (15 hrs journey) and flight was overbooked as i got to know from their representative when i have asked for the up-gradation from economy to premium economy class.

                                      Air india has given me a seat which was too uncomfortable. The seat was not getting reclined and i have to sit straight in upright position for 15 hrs. Due to this i suffered from back ache and severe neck pain and rush to hospital as soon as i landed to delhi. I have reported this issue to the crew members at the time of travel, to which one of them replied that they cant do anything and even if i develop any medical condition they are not responsible for it. Other crew members have not infact bothered to come back with resolution.

                                      In fact this is not the single case. Few passengers were using crew's seat to sleep one by one as their seats were broken or not in condition to sit for even 1 hr. Several such issues were reported at that time itself to the crew. However nothing has been done.
                                      I have paid full amount for booking my seat, then why should i compromise on quality? Air india is responsible for my medical condition and the bills that i am paying for my treatment. After all customer matters a lot. You guys are running your business because we are choosing your carrier to travel.
