[Resolved]  Air India Express — amount deducted but failed confirmation on next screen

Booked a ticket from mumbai to dubai for may 06, 2020, on feb 13th. Payment made from icici bank debit card. Confirmation of the amount deducted from the bank came instantly on my phone. However, as soon the page was redirected to the merchant site, there was an error message saying the payment was failed. A message was displayed with an email address for contact if the amount was deducted from the bank and the ticket confirmation was not shown on the screen.
Sent an email to [protected]@airindiaexpress.in, with the details of the booking.in addition, tried to contact their support team through phone, but not able to reach them.
I desperately wanted my ticket to be confirmed, as i went through a traumatic experience with booking through ibibo.com (https://www.consumercomplaints.inibibo-group-goibibo-payment-taken-from-bank-account-and-not-being-refunded-c2577612#c3647978).

I simply followed what was mentioned on the website, i.e. sending email to customer service. In 15 minutes, I could see the confirmation on the screen (but no email received), after refreshing the web page (this should not be normally done). In exactly 2 and a half hours, confirmation (with complete ticket) was delivered from customer support through email. Another 2 confirmations delivered (with complete ticket) were delivered from customer support through email, one more mail came in between stating the confirmation and assuring the delivery of ticket through email. I feel the customer service delivered exceptional service and would like to rate Air India Express 5 stars, because - 1. There were clear instructions on the website for failed payment / failed confirmation, 2. The customer service team is responsive given the very reasonable response time and 3. Multiple people in the customer service team are really interested and working on resolving the issue. Thank you Air India Express!

I did not close the web browser I was working on for the booking. Curiously after full 15 minutes, I pressed back button and refreshed the page. To my surprise, the booking confirmation was displayed on screen completely.
