We had booked the ticket with PNR PN7F6U months back. Subsequently, we received mails from Air India saying the schedules for both the legs of the journey have been altered, resulting in a long layover of almost fourteen hours in Delhi. Since my mother, a senior citizen, needed to rest after the exhausting sixteen hour flight over to Delhi, I tried contacting Air India for some arrangement for stay at the airport, but was told that they could do nothing and I should contact their desk at the airport on landing, and then too, there was little chance of any arrangement being made by the airlines, as they had informed us of the change in July and hence we had been free to make alternate arrangements. So we had to book an overnight stay with the Holiday Inn at the airport, which charged us a whopping 19.8K Rupees. I now request a reimbursement of the same for the physical hardship and mental stress we had to endure, with no redressal being offered by the airlines despite numerous attempts to contact them Was this information helpful? |
