We had initiated for refund request in full to your call center on 14th October as Kolkata – Port Blair flight of Air India on 08th Nov AI 787 was no longer operating.

Our refund is still pending for almost 02 MONTHS now.

Spoken to Ms. Priya in Air India she stated “she has cancelled booking at NIL fee and processed refund. 14/10/22 Air India Call Center[protected]:45 pm spoken”

We request you to kindly refund payment immediately to our Indusind Bank account through which the payment was originally made on 24/08.

We had sent person t Air India city office in Kolkata but our staff was turned back citing reason that online ticketed purchased on Air India website we have to contact call center only or e-mail to [protected]@airindia.in. Neither there is any acknowledgement nor revert as to when the refund will be made into our bank account.

We feel being completely cheated by Air India, who shows high hopes but fails on its commitment.

    Dear Sir/Madam,

    We had issued Air India tickets online under Senior Citizen Discounted fare for 09 Adults.

    On 01st Nov we have raised request for refund in Air India Call Center. We also spoke to Kolkata Air India city office. They washed off their hands saying online tickets purchased on Air India website we cannot do anything. You have to contact call center or write e-mail to [protected]@airindia.in.

    Sending person to Air India City office, follow up e-mails on refunds has received no response as to when refund will be given.

    We feel like being completely cheated by Air India who has been the nation's leading airlines failing on providing a solution to our problems.

      Complaint: My brother (Chamlaur Minhas) and myself (Nirmal S Minhas) travelled to India to visit our family. On our way there we travelled in Business Class and had great service and we truly enjoyed our flights there. On Saturday, April 2nd, 2022, we were returning back to Toronto from New Delhi. On our way back, seat (12k) was not adjusting the way it should have and was reclined in a flat position. We had called staff over and advised them of the broken seat. They had called a staff member who the Air India staff referred to as their technician/ground staff to help fix the seat. He had pulled a wire from one seat to fix mine which caused my brothers seat to not work and the seat belt to not work properly as well. We had asked how we can fly with an unsafe and broken seat. The flight attendants advised that they would manually adjust it as many times as we needed throughout our 14-16 hours flight. This was not sufficient as it had happened to another lady on the plane and the same promise was made but not fulfilled. The staff rudely informed us that if we unhappy with our seats that we could fly out another day and that these were the only seats they had available. We had paid $4, 000 each to fly Business Class and are long-time customers of Air-India. We saw 5-8 seats available and asked if my brother could have his seat switched as this would be an uncomfortable experience. The staff advised that those empty seats were for staff members only as they need to be comfortable since they travel long hours. At this point we let the staff know that it would most likely be easier for them to sit in the broken seats as they can adjust it to their liking manually as many times as they needed, rather than them having to trouble themselves to come adjust it for us. The Air India flight attends acted in such and inhumane manner and were very ignorant. The flight attendant advised us that if we didn't stop complaining they would call the border security police upon arrival and said it was a message from the pilot. When we landed in Toronto, the staff members had the security escort us out of the plane who led us to the police. Living in Toronto for 35+ years, we are well known in the community and have built a powerful, respected reputation. We were escorted out with 400+ people watching us and wondering what happened. Air India has insulted us beyond and taken unreasonable measures to deal with the situation which in no way, shape or form were appropriate. Air India is at fault for selling broken business class seats and it is unfair to punish a customer who chose to speak up and stand their ground over it.

        I book my ticket through mobile Air India app. I did not get E ticket and I was told that App not working and my money will refund in seven days. Its now two and half month and I have not received my money, I have written to customer service many many emails and the reply comes with will let you know in 24 hrs. NOTHING HAPPENS.

              Hi there,

              This complaint is against Air india's unprofessional behavior at Delhi Airport Service desk for not taking responsibility and not compensating for their delay.

              My original flight was from Melbourne to Delhi, (UL 605 & UL191), on 4th Dec 2022, via change over in Colombo, but the flight from Colombo was cancelled and the new flight given was Air India(AI284), for Colombo to Delhi.

              As I had to go even further and had another flight booked from Delhi to Amritsar with gap of 4 hours after the initial flights, but the the cancellation messed up my plans.

              The new flight was supposed to fly at 2:40 5th Dec, 2022 from Colombo and suppose to land me in Delhi at 6:00, according to which I should still have 2 hours for getting the next flight.

              The Air India also got delayed by more than 45 mins which started flying at 3:15 instead of 2:40, and landed me in Delhi at 6:45 instead of 6:00, which means I had only 15 min to do my immigration, get my luggage and go to Vistara domestic flight to do my baggage drop. trying hard requesting everyone at so many checkpoints and breaking the queues, I reached at Vistara counter at 7:20, where they refused to take my luggage as they had closed the counter. they asked me to talk to Air India staff but Air India didn't take their responsibility,

              The person sitting at Air India service desk told me we can't help you and gave me excuses about the flight delay . As owned by Tata Group now, I thought I was in good hands. The lady at service desk at Delhi airport Air India counter said the flight is only 15 mins late, and we can't do anything to help you . She even said nobody can do anything. She was not even listening to us. I think that was harassment and very unprofessional.

              Having that response I was really upset and stressed, but had to continue my journey with my wife. After asking few people, we managed to get a bus and had to sit for another 8 hours, after long flight and mental stress, to reach my destination.

              Because of first flight cancellation and delay in second flight I had problems and missed my flight from Delhi to Amritsar, with frustration and mental stress, which continued even in the bus until reached home.

              I should be compensated for all the problems I had due to this.

                On 1st Dec"22, I booked a flight though an agency for Leh-Delhi Route. But the rate difference were too high i.e Rs.33, 267/-. Normal Rates for this route are around Rs.5, 000/-.

                Phenomenally High rates are found for Air India Flight Tickets on Route Leh-Delhi. It is extremely difficult in situation where these rates are reaching levels above. Ministry of Civil Aviation should look into this matter as this may lead to Black Marketing.

                  I had tried to book airindia flight tickets online and made payment of Rs.7675 through SBI UPI to Air India bill desk at 11.47 am, but tickets are not booked and amount has been deducted from my account. kindly refund the amount as soon as possible or else i would have take strict actions towards billdesk.com and complain about it in consumer forum. Hoping for a reply soon.

                    Payment of Rs 5440 was successfully made and deducted though BHIM UPI (Id no - [protected]@upi). BHIM upi transaction detail and my bank transaction detail (HDFC bank) are attached below.
                    Despite of payment deduction, ticket was not done and no detail came. Still money has not been refunded back.

                      Paid seat changed by airline staff

                      To whomsoever it may concern,

                      I travelled thru air India flight Flight number :AI 126 Dated :Oct 5, 2022 from Chicago to New Delhi with 1 checked bag.
                      I checked with Air India staff at the airport at Air India counter on my way out about the number of checked bags allowed on my return ticket.
                      They checked my eticket and confirmed that I can travel check in 2 bags without any charge.
                      However on my travel date:Oct 19, 2022 Flight # AI 127; when I arrived at the air india counter to drop 2 of my bags and collect boarding pass I was told that I can check in only 1 bag, I have to pay for second bag. I was directed to another counter to pay for 2nd bag. The staff at that counter could not show me any statement or condition where air India started about charges for 2nd bag. They completely ignored the oral statement given by Air India staff provided earlier.
                      I was charged Rs. 25, 100(receipt attached).

                      I am extremely disappointed and frustrated for the unexplainable amount that has been ripped off by Air India.
                      I demand a proof of written policy or reason explaining on what basis and why was I charged the above stated amount or how was the amount calculated. kindly provide as mucha s details possible so I can proceed with my local authorities in Ohio, USA for action if not resolved by Air India.

                          We prefer to fly with Air India but the services given by the ground staff makes us to rethink about coming back to Air India

                            Refund amount not transferred to us

                            We booked flight for my family of 5 people with Air India for travel on 6/11/2021 from chicago to vijayawada. The airlines canceled the trip due to covid restrictions and they announced the amount will be refunded in full. But the amount was never refunded.                             I booked Air India tickets SINGAPORE TO UDAIPUR (Singapore to Delhi & Delhi to Udaipur) on 4th May'2022. Air India cancelled one of my flights (Delhi to Udaipur) due to which I had to cancel the entire ticket. When I spoke to one of the customer service representatives, the lady told me she can cancel the ticket and I will get my FULL refund (I have the voice recording). She then cancelled my ticket (27th May) and I was asked to fill up the feedback form .I received only a partial refund (SGD 779) instead of full refund(SGD 1179) with no explanation why $400 had been deducted as the flight was cancelled by Air India itself. I have been chasing them for almost 6 months and yet there has been no update. Every time I speak to their representative, they write a note to the refund department and still no action has been taken. Can you plz help me to get my remaining $400 back?
