First of all this is an informative post. However I write this post to make Indian consumers aware if they are going to shop for products online at International shopping sites.
I placed an order for an item from Aliexpress shopping site. The seller is named Onfine Leo. The estimated time of delivery was set at 35 to 55 days. Aliexpress has a buyer protection program whereby if the order is not received then you can open a dispute.
When just 4 days were left to end this timeline and still the item was not received, I raised a dispute.
To my big surprise the sellers on Aliexpress websites have an option to extend the buyer protection program on their own. Consumers take a note of this.
This is like cheating. The seller now has extended the buyer protection program by another 1 month instead of resolving the issue or agreeing for refund.
While making international purchases always opt for Express or Registered Air mail shipping and pay extra for the same.
Sellers otherwise cheat like this and there’s no accountability as the product can get lost in the transit forever. Was this information helpful? |
