Respected Sir/Madam,
I am writing to express my serious concern and disappointment regarding the lack of academic support and attention given to students at Allen Anantnag, particularly those who are not among the top-performing students.
I was suffering from typhoid, due to which I could not attend my tuition classes for some time. As a result, I fell approximately two weeks behind in my syllabus. For the past week, I have repeatedly approached our Chemistry teacher to request backup classes so that I can cover the missed syllabus. However, I have been provided with only two classes, and very little of my pending syllabus has been covered. Despite my repeated requests, I have not received the academic support necessary to catch up with the rest of the class.
I am extremely disappointed that the administration and teaching staff do not seem to be giving adequate attention to students who genuinely need extra academic assistance. It often feels as though the focus is primarily on toppers, while average students are neglected. Every student deserves equal attention, guidance, and opportunities to improve, regardless of their academic performance.
Another serious concern is the classroom temperature. Despite the extremely cold weather in Kashmir, the air conditioner in our classroom has reportedly been set to -16°C at the request of a student, making the classroom unbearably cold. I am already unwell, and the excessive cold has been making my fever worse and causing me to experience vomiting. It is deeply concerning that students' health and comfort do not appear to be receiving adequate consideration.
An educational institution should not only focus on the academic achievements of toppers but should also support students who are struggling due to illness or other genuine circumstances. Students who fall behind need proper guidance, additional classes, and a healthy learning environment—not neglect.
I respectfully request the administration to take the following matters seriously:
Arrange sufficient backup classes to help me complete my pending Chemistry syllabus.
Ensure that teachers provide proper academic support to students who have missed classes due to genuine medical reasons.
Treat all students fairly instead of focusing primarily on toppers.
Maintain a reasonable and comfortable classroom temperature, especially during the cold weather in Kashmir.
Take students' health concerns seriously and ensure that no student is forced to study in conditions that worsen their illness.
I hope the concerned authorities will investigate these issues and take prompt corrective action. I am raising this complaint because I want to continue my studies without compromising my health and because every student deserves a fair chance to succeed.
I look forward to a responsible response and a practical solution to these problems.
Yours sincerely,
A Concerned Student
Allen Anantnag
