Summary: Amazon keeps deferring the return/pickup of a damaged laptop they sent me on 17th May (today is 7th June). They are not refunding Rs. 87, 790 because they are not picking up the damaged laptop from my place.
Date: 16th May : Laptop worth Rs. 87790 purchased. (ASUS ZenBook 13 OLED (2021) Intel Core i7-1165G7 11th Gen 13.3" (33.78 cms) FHD Thin and Light Laptop (16GB/512GB SSD/Windows 10/Office 2019/Intel Iris X Graphics/Pine Grey/1.14 kg), UX325EA-KG722TS | B095C5PFFD ( B095C5PFFD ) HSN:84713010
Date 17th May: Received laptop with a Damaged display screen. Date 18th May: Informed Amazon and they verified the photos and issued a replacement of the device. They mentioned the delivery guy will pick up the damaged item and deliver the replacement. Date 19th May: Damaged Item not picked up nor a replacement I relentlessly followed up with their customer support thru phone, through their portal and via social media (Twitter). I suffered significant loss as the laptop was meant for one of my senior software engineer, due to the problem he couldn't work for a week and we then had to invest another 80K~ to buy another laptop from a shop. I requested them to refund the amount if they don't have a replacement. They agreed to pick up the item and refund the amount Rs. 87790. Date 7th June: The item is not picked up from any one of them and the amount is not yet refunded. My money is stuck with them and there is no sign of anyone showing up to pick up the laptop. So far Amazon is not able to provide me with the reason why the laptop has not been picked for more than 18 days and why my money has not been refunded to me.
