I placed an order for an Apple Watch Ultra on April 16, 2023, through Amazon, only to receive a wretched piece of Chinese garbage the very next day. What followed can only be described as an agonizing nightmare of epic proportions as I attempted to return this abomination and obtain a refund from Amazon. I have endured countless conversations with atleast 25 agents, each time being fed the same infuriating line that they need three more days to reach a resolution.
To add insult to injury, Amazon shamelessly deceived my bank and thwarted my chargeback attempt by falsely claiming they issued a refund on May 21, 2023. Well, it's been an exhausting 18 days since then, and I am still unable to extract a simple Refund Reference Number from these swindlers. As a result, I now find myself facing penalties on my credit card, penalties that Amazon, of course, refuses to cover.
In all my years, never before have I been forced to grovel after an e-commerce platform for weeks and months on end, just to have something as basic as a refund resolved. As if their gross incompetence wasn't enough, it seems they've gone a step further and blocked my number, effectively cutting off communication via phone call. Emails to them also fail. My current loss stands at an astounding Rs. 80, 000, thanks to these despicable scammers. Shame on the Indian Amazon team for such gross incompetence.
