Amazon India — deliberate delay

Amazon India Customer Care's response Ref No. 6496

We have perused the complaint received from Mr. Surya Anand ("Complainant") and find that he had ordered for SPORTO FITNESS 40 KG PVC Combo Leather Home Gym and Fitness Kit ("Product") vide Order ID:[protected] from the independent third party seller, i.e., The Gym Store ("Seller") on the website: www.amazon.in ("Website") and has requested for refund of the amount paid.
It is submitted that a refund for a value of Rs.2, 659.00 as requested and required by the Complainant was processed into his original mode of payment on 1st November, 2019 vide refund reference number 055518.
The refund has been made from the nodal account managed by the designated bank as per the RBI circular dated 24.11.2009 on operation of nodal account: https://www.rbi.org.in/scripts/NotificationUser.aspx?Mode=0&Id=5379.
Further, it is submitted that our role is limited to that of an intermediary and we are not the seller/manufacturer of the products listed on our Website. The products listed on our Website are sold by independent third party sellers.
In view of the above, the issue stands closed.
