Pls regard this complaint very seriously, and escalate to Amazon India.
I am facing serious, repeated Non-delivery problems by Amazon delivery agent concerning essential, important items over here, my area (Zip code:- 643001) serviced by the Udhagamandalam branch. Not sure of their exact delivery center location, but my guess is, it is their Ooty branch which is 3-4 kms from where I live. This is not too far, nor too difficult to reach.
Pls Note:- Delivery of Amazon Fresh (Grocery) once in 6 months-1 year which I order, is fine. I am facing what appears to be a calculated, planned, non-delivery of my orders by the delivery agent, often involving important, essential items-- of items which are small in size, and can be delivered by Motorbike. They also have a Car and Van available for delivery, but not able to deliver properly.
The agent often makes some excuses, refuses to deliver, and just shipping it back without my consent, and WITHOUT attempting Delivery even once, and/ or, I suspect, neither delivering to me, nor sending it back. Clearly, this is a serious issue.
Full details of the current issue as follows:- My ORDER #[protected] and ORDER #[protected], to be delivered together on January 23rd, 2023. These include Food Wrapping paper and Recyclable Enviro-friendly Garbage bags, not available anywhere here, I need to order these once a year for maintaining hygiene and for food preservation (in rainy, hilly regions this is essential).
On the final delivery date, I got the usual call from the Amazon Delivery person (from[protected], I went out to take the items thinking he has arrived, but could not find him, so I called back, and was connected to him.
He claimed he is calling me from their Office, and asked if I can come to their office to take these items!! This place does not have any Pickup locations, so this request was unauthorized, and anyway I could not suddenly go there on short notice. Then he said never mind, he will definitely deliver tomorrow, he cannot deliver today, because there is no Transport available at their office today!!
I said ok, and assured him, all he has to do is turn up at my Apartment complex- Security Gate, and call me, and I will come down, and take the delivery, and he promised to deliver the next day, i.e. today.
Today, 24th Jan, 2023, I saw both orders have been shipped right back!! So basically, he has NOT attempted Delivery, even once, and shipped it back without my consent. Luckily, these orders were COD, so I have not paid, but this is causing me terrible inconvenience.
Not able to reach any live Amazon Customer Service, at any point.
Last year, similar incident:- 7th June, 2022, ORDER #[protected], I had actually pre-paid, but he never delivered. I never got any refund either, and as usual, Customer Service was not available. This item may not even have been sent back.
Pls focus on the current issue. Amazon needs to positively resolve this. I need essential items once in 3-4 months, which should not be too difficult, if they cannot deliver even this, I suggest they shut down their office here.
