I ordered a Meta Quest 3 vr headset in around may of 2024. I ordered it from a listing that was a little cheaper than the rest, as it was shown by Amazon in front page. I didn't expect it to be such a bad experience. First of all the delivery was a bit delayed. Then when the package finally came, it started out a bit suspicious, the box was not in good condition and felt a bit smaller. As I haven't seen this product on store shelves before, I didn't think much of it. Then I opened it and to my disappointment, it was a pair of old ladies shoes. I immediately clicked a picture and sent it to Amazon and asked for a refund. The package was picked up the next day and started on its way back. Here's where the real problem started. No matter how many days passed, the package is not getting updated as reaching the seller. I finally get impatient and talk to Amazon customer support. They tell me that the product that I sent back has some issues and they are investigating. I wondered what could have happened to the shoes in transit and decided to wait as they mentioned. Even after many days again, no replies or updates. Again I contact customer support, and again and again another day. Finally they tell me, the seller is claiming that what he sent me is not what I sent back. I was utterly shocked, I didn't even understand what was happening. For a company as big as amazon, you wouldn't expect this kind of shoddy logistics supply chain. I didn't think this kind of scam was possible. I then tried many times to contact Amazon through many modes like email, chat and even their ceo email system. None of it worked, they flat out refused to honor or even looked at my issue. Everytime I raised this issue, I was routed through the same back and forth between customer service agents. I spent more than half a year trying to get back the money I lost. 44k. I have recently landed on this website and thought I will try here one last time, see if amazon responds any different. The worst part of this is, I didn't even know these kinds of scams were happening on Amazon, so I didn't take a video of the delivery. I only took the photos after I opened the box. Never will I make that mistake again. I hope this post has some positive impact and amazon finally helps me out. Was this information helpful? |
